Enthusiasts choice: corvette or camaro 4th gen, manual. Performance under 3k unrivalled. Unless u buy a 1000cc motorcycle lol. Look hard for a good one. Get a manual. Rear wheel drive, big roaring v8 with lots of potential decent fuel economy, reliable, durable and cheap parts, very simple. Other options include old chevy suburban or escalade, huge luxury value for money and very reliable. Some have bought them under 1k look it up in here. Or a cheap toyota/ lexus if u just don't care. People often overlook the N/A Mazda 3 because of the Mazdaspeed, but the standard model is a really fun and practical little car, and it's really cheap to maintain. The first and second gens are basically a ford focus with a chassis tuned by the people who made the miata.

Hell yeah. I have one as my second car soon after having a first car because of a red light running idiot. Up until this point I had only driven toyotas and wow is it night and day with the Mazda 3 hatchback. @RadBrad-ru5qb4 жыл бұрын
Honestly if you want a reliable first car and im glad it was mentioned with a bit of pep and great around the backroads I would definitely recommend an Acura RSX Type S. Safe, has a really nice interior especially if its been somewhat taken cared of, easy to work on, plenty of parts and a huge aftermarket. Hell with full bolt ons and a good tune you might be able to keep up with a decent amount of cars out there(obviously its not a race car and there is a lot of cars that would beat it). The DC5 is an amazing platform.

That means when i got my driving license, I already have a car. I actually haven't found any people that got a passion to cars, just people that want to flex with a loud exhaust. But I keep my eyes open and I think when I get my driving license, I can get more involved in the car scene and meet other people that share the same passion as me. Thanks to you, I know that there are many other people who love cars as much as I do. Thank you very much, keep up the great work. Ps: I hope my english is not that bad.

My first car was an SVT Focus. Definitely taught me about maintenance... also was a very competitive AutoX car (stock) and comfortable to learn limits in! I’ve since realized that Miata is always the answer. What’s nice about older cars is that all of the common issues have been found over the years. The downside is all of the aged bushings, old hoses, sun damage, rust, etc. that can end up costing you a lot of pain in a short period of time - unless you’re a negligent/cheap owner.

Some of the best cars I've ever owned were $500-700. And most of them lasted longer than cars I paid $1200+ for.

Just bought my first car about a month ago. Got a 1999 Jeep Cherokee sport with the 4.0L straight 6, everyone says that they’re good and reliable engines and easy to work in which works for me being my first car. Also got plenty of space for me since I’m always on the move, just wish I got better miles 😅but I love it

Well, I bought a Miata and it's a great first car. Super easy to work on, and even though they were small there's actually a ton of leg room inside. The trunk space is good, too, even bigger than the newer Miatas. The nice thing is that because it's so small, you'll always find a parking spot at a car meet. Only downside I can mention is the lack of power (which isn't really that important in a Miata) and the fact that when I'm at the front of a stoplight, I can't see the lights without leaning down. Also, the gas tank is super small. The most important to always remember: Miata Is Always The Answer

I’m not surprised you chose a Corolla and Civic as top choices. They are solid cars in whatever body style. But as a proud Golf owner, I’m very glad the VW GTI made your list, much less 3rd behind the Corolla and Civic.

In 3-5 years when I’m buying a first car, 12-18 Focus STs are gonna be right in my price range and I’m gonna cop. For years I’ve told myself to buy a SN-95 Mustang, but they are so damn slow lmao. So ima get a focus, drive that bitch through college and then buy something more fun like a 15-17 Mustang GT. G&G is my favorite channel on KZbin, has been for a few years now, thank you guys for every video you make.

My first car was the 2001 EP2 civic. Such a fantastic thing to drive and had a blast working on it too.

A little bit of a forgotten car: Saab 900, 9-3 and 9-5. Any turbo engine can be easily tuned to stage 1 220-230 hp, while being a practical, quiet, cruiser while the engine is quite reliable. Often, unfortunately like any other old car from an average person, a little neglected! And yes: I have the convertible and it steers like a boat, but it is great great fun!

I have a 2008 mustang bullitt as my first car and I would definitely not recommend it to learn on, the clutch isn't the easiest and it's hard to feel when it's engaged, but it's such a fun car to drive, even as an inexperienced driver who's still learning, I really enjoy driving it despite it's difficulties

My first car was a 99 Honda Civic EK. Was a ton of fun! Ran it to 500,000km and I still miss it!

1985 AE86 as my first car here, extremely easy to work on, parts are reasonably priced if you know where to look, fun to drive, great gas mileage, more comfortable than a Miata, more space than a Miata, etc.

Glad the SVT Focus made it to the honorable mentions. Super easy platform to work on with a healthy aftermarket.

I can really recommend the toyota starlet as a first car, they are great cars and have lots of potential. I own one myself (it's my first car) and it is great. It has a lot of room in the engine bay so it's easy to work on and easy to mod. It's also very lightweight and it is a hatchback so it's pretty practical too. And it is a toyota so you know it's gonna be reliable. Mine is from 1997 and it runs perfectly without any problems. The starlet is dirt cheap and such an underrated car as well and they deserve way more love.

I started driving a 5 speed Honda Accord in high school. I’m driving a 2016 Mazda 6 with a manual atm, but in my opinion, Mazda makes very engaging cars, even if they are considered “family haulers”

Great list, my first car was a ‘98 Honda Civic LX sedan, it was my introduction to a car that was “fun to drive.” My current car is a ‘15 Honda Civic Si Coupe!

If u want to learn how to tune/build, get a 90s civic. Tons aftermarket support and the community is huge. And its a gas saver/commuter. Yes fwd, but you can learn about how to feel and control cars bc fwd is safer. Good baseline to gauge all other
