Got a turbo 2500 with 6.0 won't rev up past 2 3k in gear but in park will rev to 5 6 k no problem you have any ideas

03 SS AWD, lq9, 7875, stage 2 tick turbo cam, 243 heads, 80# injectors, 3400 ptc converter, etc. I have these two setups but which do I install? Xlink with nnbs intake and ls3 throttle body or the stock manifold and throttle body? I was going to do xlink setup but after reading bad reviews not sure which... If power isn't affected I'd rather do stock manifold and tb to avoid issues on road trips

Just run the stock intake and throttle body or if you’re really worried about it you can use an nnbs intake with ict tb adapter to the stock tb and use the factory fuel rails with little spacers and make a custom cross feed tube, that’s what I did

That turbo will only flow so much air. Your factory intake/TB will be fine. Have made 865rwhp with the 78/75 on stock stuff. Switched to ls3 intake/90mm TB and it didn't pick up any power. Lost a tad of low end tho.

I have an x link I bought last year September working great on my 05 2500HD with a gold blade 90mm from a newer 6.2 truck on a 5.3 NNBS intake with 60lb injectors. X link is a solid piece. Any codes I've gotten have been tuning-related and not from the x link. It's all on a cammed/built 6L making around 460hp and trq

A couple of the trucks we had problems over and over with them so put stock throttle body back on and they been cruising every since. I just don't trust them. If it needs something larger than the stock throttle body I just convert them over to cable throttle.

Typically, my turbo trucks get within 1 to 2 mpg of a stock setup. That's just driving normal and not getting into boost a whole lot. You start making the turbo whistle, and single digit mpg is all you'll get.

Once you turbo it becomes SPG (smiles per gallon). With a bed cover I would get 14.5 MPG. That’s with a 6.0 S475

@@criskyro that's really up to you. I like to be around 2k rpm at 60 mph for cruising. But that's my personal preference.

Thought about running a Chinese kit with nice name brand waste gates and running around 6-10psi on the stock trans whatever it acts like it’s not gonna slip at.

@@RevDevGaming Depending on miles and condition of the 80e, may need a freshen up with an Hd2 kit. Otherwise, you can turn the pressures up and do a couple things in the tune. I would steer clear of the chyna kits, the fit and finish isn't the greatest and plug wires can get burned.
