Hey guys, here with a short video I made about what it is like for me to have an older brother with autism, I hope you enjoy it and see how blessed I am to have Mitchel as my brother. I love him to death and I want everyone to see how awesome our bond is!
*note, every case of autism is different some more severe than others, not every autistic person is like my brother. This video speaks on behalf of my personal relationship with my brother.
If any of you want to contact me about speaking at event or have any questions feel free to e-mail me at timmesc@dukes.jmu.edu I want to hear your stories about knowing someone with autism!
The song used in this video is Always Gold by Radical Face, the song somewhat inspired me to make this video because it speaks of a tight lifelong bond between two brothers.

My brother has autism as well, our bond isn't the way yours is, due to my parent's parenting habits being less than acceptable, I have to parent my brother, and he really doesn't like me because of that, but I still know more about my little brother than any other person on earth, and I'm proud to say that.

You made me cry! Happy tears, though. My son has autism. He is 19 and is currently researching the church's view of autism and what they're doing for those in the church who have Autism/Asperger's. He's annoyed and frustrated to find that there's not much to be found on this subject. He likes the term "Aspies".. I've told him that God knew I needed him in my life. He is a such a blessing to me. You are great brothers and a shining example of how this should all work. Thank you for making and sharing your video. You're an inspiration, Sweetheart. I would love to see a series of these videos. With great affection and wishing you many blessings.

I'm a girl and I have a brother that's older than me he's 14 and I'm his little sister! I can relate to this soooo much! Sometimes I don't get along with my autistic brother. We would have lots of painful fights but I still love him and look out for him❤️ me and my little sis would look out for my big brother !! 😭 I love my autistic brother. I don't want my brother to be normal. I just love the way he is ☺️ I almost lost my sister in a elevator. Me and my family was going in the elevator and my sister was out of the elevator when I first thought of my little sis in the elevator I screamed so hard. I tried to squeeze my self and open the elevator and I screamed my little sister name so hard. I grabbed her and she cried in my arms 😭 I cried too! Guys always watch out for your brothers and sisters! Sometimes you can have fights but that does not mean you hate the sibling. Love your siblings take care of your siblings! Your brother and sister would always be there for you! Even if you ha

My brother is not able to carry any type of conversation and can only answer very simple yes or no question such as if he wants cake or ice cream type questions and can get angry and/or frustrated quickly but i hope with the help he is getting that his frustration level will go down :)

This video is so amazing! Two of my older brothers (they're twins) have autism and they are the world to me. They cheer me up when I'm down and always know how to have a fun time. They can be a pain in the butt sometimes but everyone is. A lot of people don't understand what autism is and even some of my friends are judgemental towards them but I'll always love them. I'll always stick by their sides whether it'd be playing basketball or calming them down when they're sad or angry. I love them from the bottom of my heart and always will.

Thanks to everyone taking their time to read this testimony on how my son was saved from Autism. He was diagnosed four years ago, and he's just 6, I have tried several treatments and medications, nothing was working out, this got me frustrated and depressed. I kept praying and finally God answered my prayers when someone from youtube introduced me to this doctor from his home country and gave me his contact details. I called and explained my son's condition after which I made an order for his herbal remedy, he asked for my address and the next day I got a tracking number for a parcel sent to me through DHL and after four days I received my order. It was a liquid herbal medicine and a letter containing the instructions on how to use the herbs, I called him again to confirm and the next morning I started giving my son the herbs as instructed and after one week I noticed great improvement on my son and I continued until the herbs got finished and everything lasted for just one month and now my son is totally free from Autism, he can now talk clearly, behave normally and has no more seizures. If you've been searching for a genuine solution for Autism, connect with this honest Doctor on Whats App + 2 3 4 8 0 7 7 6 8 3 1 0 9 or ( solutionhealinghome@gmail. com .

My twin brother is autistic, my mom had the chickenpox while pregnant with my brother and I. We both almost died the day we were born because we didn't have enough oxygen. I love my brother to death even though they can be difficult to try and understand at tines because its harf for them to explain things. Every autism is different. My brother has trouble talking and learning. And he sure knows when to help someone out. Once when I was in Highschool, this girl came uo to me and said I was talking shit, I knew her and I thought we were cool. I had no clue what she was even talking about, I tried to avoid her but she hit me. I'm not gonna let anyone hit me and I hit her and we started to fight. My brother some how knew that was me from a distance because I know where he stands after school. He ran and yelled my name, and he grabbed me and that was the end of it. Happy to say I beat that misunderstood bitch.

Jen Daniels I do too, I looked it up and it says if you have chickenpox on your first trimester of pregnancy, the baby will be safer as in normal I guess. When your about 1 month away from expecting there's a chance of, disabilities, problems with the eyes, and 40% chance of death. If you have the chickenpox while having your baby there is a big chance of your baby dying. Hope that helps you out, and makes more sence for you, as it did for me

I have a younger brother who is severely autistic and nonverbal. When you said, “He is the most important person to me. I will always protect him and he is my brother,” I felt that. I will always care for my brother and love him with all of my heart. Woe to the person who ever tries to harm him, because they will have to go through me first. He is the biggest blessing in my life and my best friend and I simply cannot imagine life without him, nor do I ever even want to try. He makes the sun shine in my world and makes every day a little brighter. My brother also loves Disney movies.

A girl I know has autism, tbh I didn't like her at all back when we were in third grade, and thought she was weird. Then I realized everyone is different, the thing that was making me feel bad was that she had no one, so I decided to talk to her. To this day, I love her and she is one of my best friends that has never turned their shoulder on me like the other kids. Daniella, you are the best! You make me happy and we can relate so much, love you

+Autumn Jenkins Only a professional can correctly diagnose Autism. However, there a signs that indicate that it would be appropriate to see a professional. I'm 55 years old and discovered three years ago that I had Asperger's. Early diagnosis is a definite advantage. If your nephew has autism he will need as much support and patience as the people around him can offer. People with autism or ASD are wired differently, sometimes to the point where they feel like they live on an alien planet surrounded by aliens who communicate oddly. As much as one may wish to force someone with ASD learn to communicate "normally" it is often more useful to attempt to learn their language.

My 3 year old Nephew has Autism, when I first found out I was extremely anger, I didn't know what to say or think, I wouldn't even want to talk or be around my brother or his girlfriend the mother of my nephew, I wanted to blame someone, but there was no one to blame. to this day I still feel that anger, knowing my best friend has a perfectly normal nephew, and i don't but I try not to think about it, because my nephew seems like a normal child, he just doesn't really speak.

+Autumn Jenkins Hi Autimn, I know it's a tricky time when waiting for a diagnosis. I wanted to let you know about a resource that might help; It's called Z is for Zip- I mentioned it in another comment on this video but wanted to send it to you directly. It's almost a "text book" that describes all the basic behaviors of autism and why they are such wonderful and important people in our world. Check it out if you get a chance :) facebook.com/Zisforzip

He is higher functioning than your brother and it was a bit harder to spot but we knew early on something was up. I love how you show they are so special and can teach us many things! I just wish more people could see it like his peers! Bless you and your brother! 💗
