The low sales numbers indicate that the product is not well-received. After all, Mercedes is a business, not a charity or an art gallery. They need to ensure their products align with market demands. For an expensive car like the C63, at this price point, it's often a purchase driven by entertainment rather than pure efficiency. Thus, it should prioritize the driving experience over fuel economy. Honestly, few people can afford this car. Those who save up for a performance vehicle like this may hesitate to buy a first-generation model with potential reliability issues and a less exciting driving experience compared to a V8. And for the ultra-wealthy, there are plenty of other options available; they don't necessarily need to buy this car.

This coupled with the very bad and obvious fake sound in the interior is a deal breaker. No other car maker makes the fake engine sound so loud and unrealistic.

it is such an awful car. nobody wants or cares for Prius like mpg out of a 90k performance sedan. if u can afford this u can definitely pay for the maintenance and gas even if it had a v8.

Can’t wait for the CLE63 AMG with V8 power. I had the original 6.2 C63 for a few years and this new one is a complete misstep. Sales numbers and crazy lease deals don’t lie. Real enthusiasts are looking somewhere else. Great video again!

As always great and consistent way of reviewing cars for city , highway , corner carving and speaker quality for music . The c63 se disappointed including many reviewers just like the Bmw XM . The GLC 63 S seems better suited to 4 cylinder and electrification due to SUV design where all out feel is not as important as a sport sedan. Did you try the GLC 63 SE?

Nice car, but I think that I would stick with the M3. It just doesn’t make sense to spend the extra money for a hybrid that only has 6-7 miles of range.

I actually really like this car, it looks good, MB did a nice job with adding the technology, because it’s incredibly fast Sure, I know people wanted a V8, but the times are changing, and EV’s are the future (which is not a bad thing in my opinion)

So does the combustion engine get warmed up during the initial EV start up and drive or is the engine cold when it switches over? Genuine question

That's my concern as well. I'm guessing as the engine is not running the various fluids are not coming up to temp until the engine is turned on.

I don't think there's a function to warm the engine during EV functionality, no. There are methods to warm the gas engine quickly once it's started (like shutting flaps in front of the radiator to heat the engine rapidly), but it's most likely down to the driver warming the engine properly to avoid harsh wear and tear over time.

If the battery dies, will the car still work? What I mean by this is for an example the Honda Clarity is a plug in hybrid and the battery died on me and I couldn’t drive it anymore. Will this happen with the AMG C63 E-Performance?

Nothing against this brilliant 4 zylinder but, NOT on a 63AMG product, this should be V8 only, for a matter of unnecessary exclusivity. 2.0 4 zylinder Turbocharger with 470hp + E Performance is not bad at all but, it should be for AMG 45S cars. Still the car looks really good, the interior is amazing also, AI a little nosy but nothing outta pocket!

I had my friends W204 C63 for a few days, and I found myself driving round in freezing cold England with the windows down just to hear the V8 echoing around the streets where I live. I can't even remember what tech features the car had as I paid no attention to anything inside the car. I do agree tech is convenient, but for a car like this, they've definitely got their priorities wrong for their target market. It just looks and sounds a bit boring.

At the end of the day, no sane person is going to pay close to $100k for a 4-cyl sports sedan. For this generation, the C43 is a much better choice.

Lot's of cheap looking plastic. Lousy door close sound. Seems like a ton of road noise for a luxury sedan. A sad excuse for a power plant. 90k USD. Good job Mercedes, you're helping destroy the scam that is hybrid/electric cars.
