Thanks for the great video! I have a 2015 W205 C63S wagon with little over 100k now driven. No issues, except for the outside ambient lighting. The problem is probably caused by water that gets through some seals when washing the car in the winter, so avoid pressure washing the mirrors and door handles. The car does heat up quite quickly, so I could imagine that you might run into problems in hotter climates and on track. I live in Finland, so over heating isn't an issue. The car is too heavy for track use. I love it as a daily driver, especially in the winter. Dial down the traction controls and the drive to the office can be quite exciting, even while keeping within the speed limits. Not planning to sell the car and don't really care how much it may cost to fix things later on.

@siikonen5 ай бұрын
@@peterlattimore6013 They salt the roads. I try to wash the car often and keep it well protected. I'm also hoping that since the car has a lot of aluminum parts and panels, that it will survive the conditions. The average age of cars is about 13 years, and cars are crazy expensive here due to the taxes. I think my car would have been 180k€ when new. I imported my car used from Germany, so I didn't pay quite as much. As I've said on previous Merc vids the 9 speed 725 transmissions are generally expensive to service. And we'd seen quite a few owners dump these cars at the 3 year mark because the 3 year A service on these is generally eye-wateringly expensive - spark plugs, rear diff oil and the first trans fluid change, generally budget for about $3k from a dealer, slightly less obviously when using an independent.

I always wanted an Audi S5 coupe (your video on one helped a lot), luckily I got a 2018 C43 coupe for the same price (usually 3-5k more expensive) here in south Austria. Since we have quite a lot of snow the C63 was out of the question budget and drive wise, my coworker has one and complains it cant put the power down, Mine however can, always. Keeping it until I can afford my dream an R8/LC 500 haha

Take the engine and drivetrain out, throw the rest away and build an amazing race/street car with that.

I had the opportunity to drive one, and I'm now in love.

10:31 some people drive like that and it's actually incredible dangerous. Just imagine if your hand is up there on the steering wheel and the airbag deploys

Nice looking car but I feel like it's the car equivalent a dog like an Irish wolfhound. Fun while they're around but will eventually break your heart after a short time. The build quality is more of a concern than the engine in this car. Surprised this was today's review car but it was definitely an interesting watch. Good work as always guys and look forward to Sunday's video as per usual 👍

Well said,the known coil pack issue got me,only 30,000km and two have gone at $800aud each set x4,prices should be reduce to cost for known issues,also sunroof rattle drives me nuts,other than that awesome car.

The words "investment" and "car" do not go with each other. Alot of people i knew jumped and bought these cars for 100k + because they said the value will increase. The values have all decreased and theyve paid thousands in maintenance. Toyoyta Hilux sr5 paid off, now thats an investment

What about the AMG SLS? It's worth over $1M now. What about the Aventador SVJ?

This really applies to any C Class 2015 and up 🤦🏾♂️💯💯, let’s hope Mercedes see’s this!

Mercedes Australia sales are falling rapidly and that's because they are not reliable and cost too much to own out of warranty which in turn makes their re-sale value the worse in class.

even the latest generation of the c class sucks. a guy from germany bought a new one and had to go to the shop 5 times in 2 months because of the infotainment crashing, check engine light, transmission issues and the trunk door falling apart. if you can afford such a performance car buy the rcf

I’ve had a rattle that sounded like the door and headliner and dealer couldn’t figure it out but I found it was the tiny silver ring on my turn signal, so I put electrical tape on the back and never happened again.

We have the lesser C43, which is still fun an so far minimal issues, and the full on GLE63. I don't drive the GLE hard so hopefully I will not be stuck with problems.

Top tip. Watch dash cam channels and see if your c63 has made an appearance. It probably has.

5:05 That's not aero, that's just to meet regulations and compliance, the body must extend over the wheels, if the wheels are wider than the body at a certain width, otherwise it is not deemed as Street Legal.

Mercedes has become the Dodge of Germany. Pretty good V8. Fun to thrash around. Everything else is shit and you're lucky if it works and you can fix it.
