You guys did the right thing buy selling Ben to a collector. Get or build a drag car you don't have to worry about. Something you can beat the heck out of that is not automotive history.

That’s exactly what we’re working on 😉 but no spoilers just yet.

I enjoy owning rare cars that the average person doesn't know is a rare car, and probably doesn't care.🙂I have two now, a '64 Dodge D100 CSS Utiline which is one of three known to exist, and a '65 Mustang k-code fastback.Otherwise, owning a rare car is a hassle. You have to answer questions as to why you decided to do or didn't do one thing or another. People can shut the hell up. 🙂

Agreed most guys that like to chip their 2 cents in on a lot of these cars it’s not their cars!

I love 69 Road Runners. Even the 383 ones. Because I had one when I was 18 in 1979. And it ran really good. No traction until the top of third. With freeway gears and a full blown posi. The kind that chirps when your going around a corner. It went over 200 mph more than once. Ok... twice. And once was out running a Polara or what ever Highway Patrols were driving in SoCal in 1979.

That’s what I’ve been looking at doing with my 69 Road Runner I told everyone I want that full Road Runner experience but it is hard not doing a Day 2 car

Yeah, I feel like my hands are tied with the Jackpine Savage. I love the car, but I like my 63 better mostly because I get to do what I want to it.
@BackWoodsPerformance679 ай бұрын
The Jackpine is a wicked cool car! But I can definitely understand you’re 63 has your heart a good bit just because you have that freedom to do what you want to it.

Great video, I heard about you, boys and your special car a few months ago, it caused quite a sensation on KZbin. But I see what you guys are saying, you bought a car to drive and have fun with and ended up with a rare kind of trailer Queen. I know that’s a messed up word but kind of is that now because it’s too scary to drive it hard. Looking forward to the duster, you could beat these cars up and they are very tough. Also, don’t feel bad about being 19 and 22, I’m 52 but my brain is 19 still and that’s a good thing.

I think a lot of people are hopefully gonna enjoy the Belvedere, The Road Runner, The Duster, and The Polara a little bit more just because we’re not scared of anything happening to those! Plans with Ben definitely took a major shift from what they originally were supposed to be but we did still have fun.

I do like having cars that not everyone else has but I would not consider them rare. I do like driving to car shows and looking at cars but I'm not overly concerned about my car being restored. That's a whole other crowd 😂
@BackWoodsPerformance679 ай бұрын
When I say rare I’m meaning more like the 1 of 3 1 of 50 like a Mr Norm Dart or a Super Stock race car. They’re fun to own but it’s just eh after a while.

Never owned a rare car. It'd be nice for the notoriety but what kills me is that i knew theae types of cars when they were used (5-10 years old). Seeing what they've been made into as far as investments killed it for me. I just wanted to drive....
