What it takes to be a member of the Massachusetts National Guard

I'm from a Boston neighborhood. I did a four year hitch in the Navy, 1975-1979 active duty. Then I joined the Massachusetts National Guard 1980-1982, two years active reserve. I preferred the Guard actually. Believe it or not, if you're looking for a job, it's not wise to mention during the job interview that you're in the Guard.
