@gruntwithripit13864 жыл бұрын
Every branch picks on eachother, it's what we do. It's not serious at the end of the day it's all love for your brothers and sisters. The difference between the guard and active duty army is that guardsmen maintain civilian jobs for a majority of the month, training 2-4 days a month and 2-3 weeks in the summer. For example, I'm a guardsmen. My regular job is working fugitive recovery for bail bonds, in the army guard I'm an infantryman. The guard also serves both the state government for at home missions such as natural disaster relief, border enforcement, and riot control and federal government for overseas missions. I've been to the Ferguson riots for the Guard and the middle east for the big army. The basic training for the guard, reserves and active duty is literally the same thing, everyone goes together.

Civilian here asking advice from veterans. What are some things I should be doing to prepare my mind for the military? I’m working on my physical fitness. I’d like to enlist in the National Guard. Focusing on quitting my vices such as smoking and staying up to late. Reading a lot more. Trying to work on disciplining my mind. I grew up in an environment without a lot of structure. Without getting to into detail I feel as if it made me lack the consistency I need. So I’m curious if any Vets out there have advice on mental breaking exercises to focus the mind. 🙌🏿

This will get You far, not only in the military, but also in your life. Never quit at what you do. Always have false motivation. No matter what happens in life. No matter how angry you are, or how sad you are. Stay motivated. Don’t let anyone get to You. Broccoli Side Dish people do snore at night, people also talk loudly at night, making it harder for you to sleep, if you tell them to shut up, they won’t, and there is nothing you can do about it, you don’t have any authority.

isidro gasca you only get half of that 20k, half of it gets taken away from taxes. And you get it in increments and not a lump sum.
