I’m a leadership nerd and this guest nails it. Whether leading a team at Starbucks or a few good men in the open sea…..it comes down to what’s discussed at minute 57 of this podcast. Period. ❤️🤘🏼

I'm an older lady who's never been interested in sports and I found this talk fascinating. It flew by for me, in spite of the unusual length. Jason is a truly fascinating person to listen to !! THANK YOU for this treat, Rich!

As a US Navy submarine veteran I can say that the open ocean can humble anyone. Even normal and calm ocean can be unexpected and throw you off. The isolation, lack of help available from the world and dangers in every moment will breed the strongest comaraderie with your shipmates even if you hate them lol. Let alone the insanity of pushing your body beyond what a normal person could even think is possible, I couldn't really imagine traversing the open ocean on such a small ship o_O.

Was able to listen to this one on the way to Philly Marathon yesterday. Running with my training partner, I knew at the half way point that it wasn’t my day but I was obligated to getting my good friend to the 20 mile mark which set him up for a tremendous first marathon finish. This interview with Jason really got me through some rough patches because I knew I was accountable for my team mate and was able to finished with my chin up. Awesome pod as always. ✌️🌱

The ship capsizing analogy also applies to marriage. All to often spouses get in the day to day routine and normalcy od passing each other and the craziness of taking care of kids. You need to sit together daily and remember why you started on this journey together and where you are going.
