@@RozKounelakion Nope, that’s what I was advising against. The plane is really bad at tilting itself up and down, but it does fine when rolling or turning. The turning (yaw) is substantially stronger than it’s up-down (pitch), which means you have to roll into your turns to take advantage of this. If I want to gain altitude faster, I’d roll my plane so it’s angled left, then yaw to the right to make a little spiral to take me higher. It takes twice the amount of time trying to do that same maneuver with the plane’s normal pitch.

Honestly I was thinking about the mk2 and then I seen your comment. Yeah the majority of ppl who buy those are usually the Mommy's boi/Daddies girl for asking their parents to pay for their GTA Dollars just so they can buy an oppressor mk2 aka witch broomstick. As much as I hate these things I would likely only ever buy one just to troll griefers that and make travel a little more convenient as I can cross the map faster then using helicopters from the many free helicopter spawn points that and it would help me alot for non vehicle resupply missions so most ppl would be too scared to approach an oppressor mk2 just to destroy 2k dollars worth of cargo. Also I do not possess any form of aircraft other then the free helicopters from the online shops on GTA 5. The problem in some of those planes is on the playstyle u've chosen. Sure the flight physics in GTA is broken, but u can still use some strategies in it. In all fights u were trying to turn fight (fight by turning the plane sideways). The lazer is one of the best (if not the best) plane for that. Therefore it'd be a better option to try energy fighting with it. Trying to turnfight a Lazer is suicide

Lets analyze it: 1)You two played by the rules by passing each other at low altitudes then circling back to begin engagement. That's not a bad thing, though it does somewhat limit how the fight goes and the info we can take from the fight(but it does also give us insight as to how some of the vehicles function in that specific scenario). 2) Obviously, as anyone can attest to, most fights in GTA don't start the way you two started dogfighting, and neither do real life air duels. This splits the continuity: 2A) Before anyone calls me out on anything, I'd just like to say that the Lazer and Hydra *can* beat anything, and you don't even have to be a good dogfighter. Statistically, the explosive cannons on the Lazer and Hydra fire 2 explosive rounds from 2 different cannons at an extremely fast rate, at a noticeably long range(around 700m I believe). If, instead of doing the gentlemanly thing and passing each other before turning around to engage and instead engage right from the get-go, all the lazer has to do is catch its opponent in a burst and by the time they're in your jet wash, they'd have either turned into chunky salsa or are too damaged to be any more than a minor nuisance. In practical terms, a starling will never dogfight a lazer if a lazer destroys the starling on the first pass. 2B) You two did the gentlemanly thing and started the fight at low altitudes. Once again, there is absolutely nothing wrong with this from an information-gathering standpoint. However, this limits the abilities of certain planes and maneuvers greatly, and once again, most fights in GTA don't start the way you two started it. What I've seen you and others creators do is abuse the power of aircraft being, well, designed for being in the sky and gaining some sky(ahem, altitude) before you take on an enemy. Aside from the tactical standpoint, there is also a technical standpoint: the difference between a B11 ****force being swiss cheese and a nightmare lies in its current altitude. It cannot circle-dodge missiles at low altitudes but most certainly can at higher altitudes. Granted, all air vehicles tend to fly faster above the maze bank tower but some vehicles seem to benefit disproportionately more(IE: I managed to make my B-11 outspeed its own homing missiles and barrage missiles by diving at a certain angle from a high altitude, leading to some funky deaths) 2C) Generally, the aim of aircraft-to-aircraft combat(actually, combat in general) is to make the battle as much in your favor as possible. From this video, we know that hard-stat wise, it is /generally/ easier to dogfight a Lazer with vehicles starting from the Seabreeze mark. However, from practices evidenced by creators such as yourself, it is entirely possible to fight anything just as long as (A) you know the limits of your vehicle, (B) you know the limits of your adversary's vehicle, and (C) you take actions to give yourself as much advantage as possible, such as engaging from a higher altitude, firing missiles to force them to dodge, bursting a starling before they can even start tailing you, etc. Though you didn't exactly showcase those things in this video, you did shed some light as to the performance of certain vehicles, which helps us figure out how to implement (C) in practice. 3) I know I'm repeating a lot of what everyone else is saying, but much of what determines the effectiveness of an aircraft is the skill of its pilot. Personal anecdote: A wannabe jet griefer(or more likely, a low-rank who wants to feel OP for once) once came after me(I'm sitting in an MOC cab trying to do explosive jumps with sticky bombs) in a recently stolen lazer from fort zancudo, firing nothing but homing missiles, all the while making extremely wide rudder turns. Long story short, he crashed into a bridge. Though this has absolutely nothing to do with dogfighting by itself, imagine how it'd go if he went after someone in a jet of whom knows a thing or two about air combat. 4) Contrary to what the above stuff I said might imply, I think you've done some great work here- it may not be how fighting lazers work out in practice but the "hard" information gathered is phenomenal. You've likely helped a few newer pilots figure out which aircraft to buy first. Edit: I grammar good.

With the Molotok the key is to dogfight at high altitudes for the speed buff so that you can do crazy maneuvers. If youre at low altitudes the best thing to do is try to use ur low stall speed

tips for lazer pilots to beat any other jet: maintain full speed throughout whole fight, do not slow down unless absolutely necessary, fly around their turn and do it faster and more aggressively than then, control the fight. take full advantage of your superior acceleration and turning / roll / knife capabilities to outmaneuver and react faster than they do. use your acceleration to aggressively push your opponent and gain on them, the lazer is the best for gaining height and knifing upwards, fly up as you turn and force the fight upwards, this will slow other jets more than the lazer and give u an advantage, up up up! predict their turns and speed, all other jets have a big weakness that lazer doesn’t have. starling takes time to reboost, slower without it. pyro rolls very fast but weaker attacking angles and speed, hydra and b11 have bad vertical acceleration, go up so they slow down, all other jets are very easily defeated.

As a rogue pilot I have taken down many Lazars, it all comes down to who has more skill with their plane and what you can do to confuse the Lazar, most people flying it suck with aircraft and need the advantage

Think smarter not harder. Hunter was trying way to hard to get behind you in a stalemate donut. He could of changed his axis and hit your side. Or utilize the lazers speed to run away and kill on a remerge. Talking about seabreeze and other cases. Though you do see axis changing and it easily being countered, from my experience, most pilots dont catch on to this and maintain the donut whilst you're catching up. However the axis change method typically works when you're more behind the enemy than the enemy is to you. However, utilizing it with good turning makes you undogeable and a PITA

Does the strike force have limited homing missiles? I used mine couple of weeks ago to try get air freight cargo against the cargo planes and midway ran out to where I had to finish using barrage and the canons... was it a glitch or that's the way it is?

I am Lyss Sky. in a jet df, any of the capable jets, pyro, hydra, lazer, b11, starling, etc can beat the others in a fairly matched dogfight, its mainly up to the skill of that pilot. that said, for the hydra, u have to be alot better than the lazer pilot, like top 5 pilot or better to beat other competitive pilots with it. lazer can beat all if better pilot and even a top pilot cant compete with other jets as long as they know what they’re doing. a starling or pyro helps a poorer pilot beat a lazer but a top lazer pilot will still beat them unless the starling / pyro pilot is very good. the lazer can accelerate and stall and angle like no other jet, so it really can do it all
