The Jewish people are a diverse community, enriched by a variety of backgrounds, experiences, and cultures. This truth is captured in Liz Kleinrock and Caroline Kusin Pritchard’s new book What Jewish Looks Like, a groundbreaking illustrated anthology celebrating the breadth of Jewish identity, featuring notable figures including Central’s own Rabbi Angela Buchdahl.
Join co-author Liz Kleinrock and Rabbi Hilly Haber for a conversation about the importance of recognizing the range and variety of Jewish experience, including reflections on Kleinrock’s own personal journey as a Korean, Jewish, queer, transracial adoptee. The evening will include light snacks inspired by diverse Jewish cultures, as well as the chance to purchase signed copies of Kleinrock’s coffee table book. Virtual attendees will be streamed into our program space, so come prepared to share your thoughts with your cameras on.
We warmly invite you to join us for a variety of programs throughout the year exploring and celebrating Jewish diversity.
