Bendy blade. So that's been my problem - the cut wanders towards the carefully clamped guide-rail and no amount of hand force correction brings it back to the line. Gonna get me some of those thick Bosch T144 DP blades. Ya saved me a sleepless night. Thanks Gid.

Ah I always end up getting unwanted bevels. Doing sinks in worktops comes to mind. I'm just a DIY guy though so I just pick up cheap blades as and when but it always pisses me off that I need to go back over it and try and straighten them up. Defo be investing in some good beefier blades after seeing this. Cheers.

👍 T101B are the fairly standard blade but can drift a lot, esp on thicker pieces so most of the time i have a T144D in the machine, if you look at the tip of these it helps when doing a plunge cut 👍 Thanks 👍

For cutting Kitchen Laminated Worktop is this the right Jigsaw blade? Should i ise Bosch 128BHM? OR, T308B Vs T308BO Vs T308BF Vs T308BR? Which one is the best for Laminate Kitchen Worktop cutting without Chipping?

Hi, if it's a fairly simple or basic cut or it'll get filled n painted so doesn't have to be perfect I'll use the thicker blades, the thickness/stiffness gives greater control, If the joint has to be more perfect I'd use the fret saw n do it buy hand, Thanks 👍

Try a piece of hardwood 1" + and try going with the grain. I guarantee that the blade with bend. I tried cutting a piece of cherrywood to make a canoe paddle. A total waste of time and energy. I may as well use a hand coping saw.

Hi Gid, I was trying to catch the model number of your jigsaw I know it’s the 18volt Bosch. Have you a link to that model number it looks a lot better to move around than the dewalt corded that I have which feels heavy for those backward cuts.Would you go for 3amp hr or 5amp hr batteries? Cheers Gid

Hi it's a Bosch GST 18 V-LI B 18V , you could prob find it cheaper & i didn't get a box with mine but yeah a lot better than any corded i have had & lighter, will cut the full depth of the blade through wood, on the patio doors you see me cutting 2" Sapele planks, i have 4ah batteries partly because of the price, i had two 4ah, they were fine so i bought 2 more. they're plenty strong enough, the 5ah might be cheaper now but just add weight, i would def recommend the jigsaw 👍👍 www.dm-tools.co.uk/product.php/section//sn/BSHGST18VLIBNCG#.XpJAJ8hKiHs

What blade would you use for cutting a round table top sir.thank you

Hi, i only really use 2 different ones, BOSCH T101BF is a finer cutting blade & will give a cleaner cut but is a bit thinner than the other i use so may wander a bit leaving a wobbly edge, it'll prob struggle cutting a table top esp after a little while when it heats up, The other i use BOSCH T144D is a thicker blade, it'll easily cut your top with very little wobble & the blade i use 95% of the time, it's a bit courser but with either you'll have some cleaning/sanding of the table top edge, if poss cut from the back to leave a cleaner cut on the face side that's seen, don't go too fast, heat is what kills any cutting blade, it softens the metal making it loose it's sharpness quicker, & so making it wander. www.screwfix.com/p/bosch-t101bf-jigsaw-blade-100mm-5-pack/773fx www.screwfix.com/p/bosch-t144d-wood-jigsaw-blades-74mm-5-pack/11397
