This reminds me why I don’t offer to do doors for people , on a bad door job it can be lots of work and lifting for next to no money for the effort . Good job you did a very thorough job

Makita is just like the Lamello, I have both and never use the additional fence. You don't have to in the exact middle of the material. The flip fence is 10 mm to the center of the blade. Good for up to 25 mm. If you are using 12 mm material use the shim or a piece of 3 mm or 4 mm scrap. Cardboard even. If its more than 25 mm put 2 rows of biscuits. Or a domino or dowels. The advantage of the flip fence is there is no adjustment so operator error when setting. Never fails when you have to come back to a previous setup. I am mostly dewalt but returned their biscuit joiner for on-site work due to no 45 degree positive stop. Feel that is a major necessity. Hair off and everything is off. At least with depth it just needs to be consistent. I was able to overlook that to avoid more batteries. Once I realized dewalt lacked 45 I went with the makita with a battery adapter. But if you are always using the biscuit can't recommend Lamello enough, hard to swallow the price but the accuracy is unbeatable. You always know the joint is going to be good. I worked at Discount Tire from 16 to 32 and we always preached don't make decisions based on money but what is right for the customer and the company, then the money will take care of itself. Every time I think I am going to save on a tool I end up buying 2 of them. Good luck!

Also good, slit 6 inches of a 4 foot length of hose. Attach to an SDS drill bit with a hose clamp. Set the drill to hammer. You are done. Instant concrete vibrating tool. Put the hose in the concrete and turn on the drill and pull.

Just a little tip if you completely remove the handle and little gold pin, you can look through the hole and see the top of the plunge legs then you can tighten the bolts down on the new threaded bar. I managed to get 73mm of plunge! A massive improvement as i can now use it with the trend lock jig without changing bits part way through

Hi, I don't bother registering my tools, from experience I know the brands I buy will most likely last quite a few yrs, my last Dewalt mitresaw is 20+yrs old but still works.

Came here after just about every other woodworking channel mentions Gid joiner and I know why now. Just pure experience and skill and knowledge without the need for bollocks click bait titles or shite music. Old school craftsman’s skill, presented in accessible and easy to follow no nonsense videos. If Fred Dibnah was a joiner…..Kudos mate, keep up the amazing work you do, and thank you for teaching me and countless others invaluable lessons.

Hello. I am really enjoying your videos and have learnt plenty and also reassured to see such a practical approach to materials using mdf where appropriate and hardwood where it matters. I am a Cabinet Maker and love to see real world workshops of people doing the job to a high quality without 30k of machinery and without all the self promotion bull$$it that you get on you tube. I hope your recovery continues and look forward to more vids. Could I ask how your compressor copes with that gun and have you ever used it with water based paint. Thanks🇮🇪

Hi, sorry for the late reply, it's hard to give any advice without actually being there, If the walls don't line up then one side would have to be made up but even if you sent me pics I'm not sure I could put into words what needs to be done. I wish you the best & hope you find a solution.

Really great series. Very detailed step by step. Just curious, how will you use the outlet hidden inside the lower cabinet?
@Gidjoiner
@Gidjoiner 4 ай бұрын
Thanks, glad you liked it 👍 The outlets in the lower cabinet were moved outside the cabinet before the cabinets were installed. I did the basics on the right one moving the wires outside & I created access for the left one, also chopping in a channel for the wire, an electrician came later to finish & put the faceplates on. This is Pt5 of 9, I show all this in the later videos.
