Congress and the Senate only work about 150 days a year. They should only have a salary of around $85,000.00 a year if they actually had to make their pay stretch maybe things would be different. I only bring home around $20,000 a year, I own my home and paid cash for it, I own two used vehicles and again paid cash for those. I do not live beyond my means. I never had bad credit or good credit because life is not based on credit but based on quality and what type quality does one have if they are constantly worried about their credit? No words were ever spoken truer than nothing on this earth can be taken with you when you die. I personally don't want to leave my family dept and all the hassle of trying to figure out how they are going to pay it off.

It went up $30 on my SSA retirement check so up to $1,370 a mo.can't afford to live on my own. Tried room sharing but, the lady had a bipolar diagnosis and threatened me with violence so got subsidized apt for $900 a month. But, couldn't afford car insurance and up keep or to buy many essentials so moved in with daughter whose husband has termial cancer and can't even get time to drive me to doctor appts. But, at least have a roof over my head which is better than many 76 or olds.

Exactly. Who else gets REWARDED for sending their company/country DEEPER AND DEEPER into debt to the tune of $TRILLIONS? They need to score the people a few MAJOR wins before they get ANY raise at all and WE should decide, based on their performance, whether and how much of a raise they get, NOT themselves! Most are there to just kick the can down the road while they serve. If they were to be held ACCOUNTABLE, the bad ones might not run for office in the next election.
