If you haven’t tried Mini and Max yet, I highly recommend you give it a try (on or offline). Couldn’t believe the amount of detail they put into that one game.

O think he will post all the runs/games. On stream I think there are 4-5 he hasn't played so far. And you are right, min max was fantastic

Did nobody in chat actually explain to Barb why the inside corners were helpful? Sure, it's kind of obvious. But I think most of Barb's friction with chat was because he didn't actually get it. The inside corners are spots which get to do an extra second or so of DPS, because the time between when a wave gets in range and when it leaves range is longer. It's a marginal improvement. But the game is all about maximizing resources.

He does this with every strategy game lol. He poorly executes good advice given and acts like it doesn’t work because of that. Obviously the inside corners are the most efficient positions.

@@jasonrodriguez3618 Yeah, I suppose that tracks. Barb has shown that he's smart and insightful in a lot of ways. But I've never seen him fully engage with an optimization problem.

A chicken with two adjacent campfires roasts in 1 turn. "Checkering" campfires and chickens can really speed up food/money: Chicken/Fire Fire/Chicken I feel like tar guys might be better in the middle of a strong line than at the very beggining, because they have some reach. So if (C) is a tar guy, then in a A B (C) D E formation, if the dinos are moving A to E they get tarred at A's position they still get a lot of damage from A and B. If (C) was before A, then A and B can't execute as many attacks against slow moving dino.

I found tar to just be kind of useless. Max rank Spears and Wheels also slow (the former I JUST learned I dunno why I didn't notice before). But they also do actual damage unlike Tar. A strong group of maxed spearmen is incredibly strong. They just dont specialize vs anything. Fire beats armored, bows beat fliers, wheel tends to beat cheetahs (though honestly nothing really does beat them outside of just a guy who can throw something straight into them so they don't miss).

@@nickfarace9339 I don't know, tar guys seem pretty useful to me, maybe depends on what strats go with them (early on in the map against tougher dinos can really thin them out for other cavemen later in the map). Rocks against cheetahs, for sure. Also, I feel like first few waves with vanilla dino you can get by with less caveman (jsut 1 on first wave) and get some chickens roasting immediately.

@@gdrdm any map with 60 starting food I buy both personal upgrades and can usually solo the first wave at least
