Personally I feel an increase in mid workout recovery performance. I used to take an average of maybe 90s rest, but now I feel like I recover from most sets in about a min. Imo if you can afford it its worth it. Creatine, multivitamin, carbs, moderate protein, rest, and im good for 3x full body. Make sure to get water too

I'm wondering what others think about creatine. I personally don't think it's worth it because about 25% of people are non-responders to it. Honestly, I don't believe the average person would be able to notice a significant difference with or without taking it, even if they trained on it for a year. Plus, spending $20 to $40 a month feels like a gamble, and even if I win the gamble, the gains would be minimal. let me know what you think!

It's not that expensive
@adam9822Ай бұрын
The way I see it is it’s so cheap and even if it helps a tiny bit in terms of putting on muscle then that’s a bonus. Plus, it draws more water to your muscles which makes your muscles appear fuller and bigger even if it doesn’t help you build much more muscle. There are also other cognitive and health benefits of taking creatine besides the muscle benefits. Also, it should only cost you like £5 a month to take, you’re getting ripped off if you’re paying much more than that.

It Is rather Easy to fabricate. A pack of 500gr cost around 30usd in Colombia. Therefore around 8-9 dollars per month (5gr daily)

You gain realistically 10-20%(?) more/faster if you're supplementing. Unless you're in a hurry, realistically what's wrong with gaining just a little bit slower? Most of us aren't going to gain slower because we aren't on enough creatine, we're going to gain slower because we don't have enough time, don't get enough sleep, are too stressed etc etc. And realistically, gaining slower probably keeps you out of trouble because it gives you tendons and ligaments time to keep pace with your muscle development. Lately, creatine hasn't enough been as cheap either, so take it or don't, it just depends on how fast you want to get there.
@Catlove388-s1iАй бұрын

Based on the stronger by science article by Greg Nuckols, creatine allows for gains to happen 1/3rd faster based on adjusted effect sizes to account for smaller effect sizes in hypertrophy research. Edit: some extra information. creatine monohydrate is still the best form of creatine to use and will likely be the best form for a long, long time. This is the only creatine form I recommend.

Everyone should be aware that the human body creates Creatine. Now, the question that should be asked is how much to supplement with based on activities and age.
@Parker_Miller_M.S.Ай бұрын
The human body of all people can't create enough creatine to see the performance benefits. Some do have a higher muscle creatine content so supplemental creatine has little effect in that circumstance. We also can't get enough creatine from food.

If taking creatine is still considered natural and it’s produced naturally in the body why is taking testosterone not natural when it’s also produced naturally? Is it because it makes a much bigger difference in gains? If so where is the cutoff point that makes taking a substance ‘not natural’ anymore?
@XanderYTVАй бұрын
Creatine is a nutrient, testosterone is a hormone. An androgenic hormone. HGH is also produced naturally but nobody is questioning whether or not you're still natty after taking HGH

As much gains as the amount of hair you’ll lose

@@jajasi4752 I stopped my hair loss with Propecia, started creatine, hair loss resumed after 2 weeks, stopped creatine, hair loss stopped immediately. Not a single other thing changed in that period. So yeah, idgaf about studies saying otherwise or debunks. 🤷♂️
@TheAnto600Ай бұрын
@@jajasi4752 It was not. The only conclusion that can be drawn is that we basically don't know. So at this stage we can only rely on the numerous return of experience from people who actually experienced hair loss, and be suspicious about the fact that no one wants to finance a proper study on the subject (maybe fear of losing clients ?)
@jajasi4752Ай бұрын
@@TheAnto600 the study that started the claim said that it may increase dht, a byproduct of testosterone, but studies done after that did not find an significant hormonal increase and the original study that had a really small sample size hasn't been replicated successfully. Creatine is the most studied supplement to ever exist and there is not significant disadvantages to taking it that we know of, that doesn't mean that we can't find them in the future but is really unlikely at this point.
@TheAnto600Ай бұрын
@@jajasi4752 I know that study, I didn't state the opposite. So to repeat myself, current studies do not allow to draw conclusion. The link creatine -> hairloss is not proved, but it is neither disproved. Most studied supplement yes, but no study specifically looks at hairloss itself, with multiple variables and not only dht levels (markers of bondings of DHT to folicules, blood pressure spikes, DHT spikes during workout, etc...). No study explains why experienced lifters (so no change in activity per say) also observed this balding effects. No study formally debunks the feedbacks. The only thing we can say for sure is that manufacturers can only lose to dig this subject, so they won't. So no, it is not debunked like you say, it is uncertain and denying that is denying the piles of bad experiences out there, those being biaised or not.

I can lunge 221 pounds for 4 reps each side. I have been sick for a little over 6 weeks and only did warm up weight since. 2 weeks ago I lifted 170 pounds for 15 reps each side. Should I worry about losing muscle?
@soggybreh810Ай бұрын
I know you’re not asking me but you don’t have much to worry about Usually 2 weeks of straight inactivity is when that happens and I mean complete inactivity as in sedentary. Even then it’s very minuscule,you being at week 6 you’re likely fine. Even if you lost a tiny bit that will return quickly and it may be a beneficial break for your tendons,joints,and nervous system. Considering you did warm up weight as well I think you’re good.
