I’ve always loved the wrangler cowboy cuts. The back pockets sit up higher so you’re not sitting on your wallet, the positioning of the belt loops is perfect for carry, and the riveted construction hold up really well.

I recall from the late '90s into the 2000s, boot cut jeans and other boot cut pants were the fashion standard. I was just watching some first season Entourage episodes on Amazon Prime and thought it looked dated to see all the main characters wearing boot cut pants without boots. It makes the shorter blokes look even shorter; and it doesn't seem very aesthetic to me today. Boot cut jeans with boots, however, is classic. I think the attraction for non-boot wearers, or for sneaker culture, was that boot cut jeans hug the quads and make most men's legs look fuller. The 2010s have seen the rise and fall of skinny jeans, and the domination of the more fitted pant leg look. I agree with Jeremiah about not being a fan of the cowboy boot scallop, or "V", being visible through very close-fitting jeans (or pants). But, at the same time, I find the boot cut flare at the bottom to look a bit dated, especially when it starts to look like full-on bell-bottoms. The straight cut look is classic. I was just looking at some pictures of Jim Morrison in straight cut leathers with cowboy boots. That's such an iconic look. I think, subconsciously, that iconic rock & roll look is a big part of what attracted me to getting my first pair of cowboy boots last year. The angled heel is simply iconic. I never skip leg day at the gym and work hard in the squat rack. So, I wanna show off my athletic legs to some degree. So, I experimented with the skinny jeans, athletic cut jeans, and the slim cut jeans. My current favorite is the slim cut jeans, which have a bit of stretch to them. As long as I stack them over the boot shaft just enough, I find that the boot scallop is not terribly visible, although there is still inevitably a bit of boot cut flare, as the jeans stretch a bit over the boot shaft. For me, standing barefoot at 5'5", I like the more fitted look. And, honestly, I grew up as a kid in elementary school digging Prince's Purple Rain pants with stitched in stacking, which made him look taller than he actually is. Then, there's also the Dwight Yoakam skinny jeans and skinny leathers look. But he's tall, which automatically looks cooler. To avoid the boot scallop showing through the pants, I looked for chelsea boots and angled-heel ankle boots, since I didn't need those boots for outdoor work. But the coolest ones I found were the Saint Laurent men's ankle boots. But, man, those were beyond my current budget. I read somewhere in the comments for this channel that the Tecovas have a tighter boot shaft, which is more aesthetic with skinny jeans. I think I'm gonna buy some Tecovas next to wear with stacked slim cut jeans. Lastly, I love how Jeremiah is always so positive and respectful. He says a particular style doesn't feel right for him, which is the main thing---to each his own. But he doesn't rule things out for everyone. Everybody has to do, and wear, what feels right for them. Reggie Casual (at THE CASUAL on YT) defines the core of fashion as intentionality. If you feel it, rock it.

I haven't worn 501's in a decade and a half. When Levi's took their anti-gun stance, I was done with them. Personally, I have found Wrangler jeans as good, if not better. I do like the old "Shrink to fit" 501 look though. But sometimes, a man has to take a stance. Sorry, Levy.

Honestly it depends on the shorts. Cargo shorts no, but some cut off Jean's or ranger panties seem to work pretty well. I was rocking american flag board shorts with them on the 4th of July. Whatever you do, just fucking send it.

Bootcut jeans on cowboy boots is a perfect combo but for me its way too oldie and boring. Plus it seem to overwhelm the boots and hide it. Slim fit (not skinny) jeans look really good and trendy with cowboy boots. Its slightly wider on the leg compared to skinny jeans and narrower than straightcut jeans. It still look skinny but the outline of the boot shaft is not very obvious.

Calvin Klein recently released 'straight leg-high waisted' jeans for men. They're japanese salvage, true blue american style. A bit pricey though, about 250 bucks, but they have the greatest fit and quality ever. I always where them with my black western boot. I highly recommend those ones.

I've found that the 5.11 Tactical Apex, Edge Chino, and Traverse 2.0 pants, also the Eddie Bauer Horizon Guide Chinos, work well with my Tecovas Earls. They would probably work well with higher-heeled cowboy boots, too. As for the Onesies, you definitely rock them better than I ever would. And that's before putting on cowboy boots. :D

So how to I get rid of the crease my boots cause on the front my jeans? I have a pair thats almost boot cut but the boots press against them enough it causes a crease that the front. Should I just wear them more often? Id love to have a pair of straight jeans that fit them well like Ricky Bobbies dad in Talledega nights or Kevin Bacon in Tremors, not sure what style those would be though! Any help is appreciated!

Some people like the stacked jeans look. Buy them a little extra longer than what you would usually buy them and then the bottom of the jeans will cover up the crease you are talking about.

I have a problem with my cowboy boots. I bought these Justin cowboy boots and I’ve been looking around for the right type of jeans so I went with slim fit pants but the problem is the boot shaft shows too much. Levi 527 are top choice. Only jean and cut I own, and the only shorts I own are boxers. Dont care if its 100 Degrees, still have jeans on. Color depends on the boot color. I wear square toe harness fryes. Vintage ones with stacked heels, leather soles and stovepipe shaft. I collect them.

Here in West Texas we tend to dislike boot cut jeans as they look like bell bottoms. Wrangler 13MWZ or 31MWZ fit over boots just right and stack at the heel so you're not dragging denim under the heel of the boot.

Without a doubt. The khakis and jeans here in the vid prove that, for me anyways. The versatility of boots amazes me. And just because I can’t pull off the shorts and skinny jeans doesn’t mean other folks can’t. It’s all about personal style

Wrangler boot cut jeans, they have many styles, colors and shades. But the length is key. You have to have a little extra on the bottom to make it look right. Usually you would buy one size longer than your usual jeans that you would wear with sneakers or shoes. Never tuck in your pants, unless your riding a bull.
