I’ve always dreamed of living in LA. There are so many beautiful things about it. So sad to see these beautiful neighbourhoods destroyed.

You just showed up on my feed. Never heard of you before, but I resonate with you. I left Los Angeles in 2014 (to move up here to BC, Canada), but I am a born and raised Cali gal, with a dash of east coast (New Jersey from ages 2-8, then Los Angeles in 1992 when I was 8). I remember in 1992 watching the city burning due to police brutality. I recall other times the city was on fire, and seeing the ash come down. I feel for you and breathing. I have been trying to reach out to so many friends and family. Still not heard from some and it’s hard not to worry. But, I’ve heard of friends losing their homes, friends with kids ready to evacuate… it has been so sad to hear the news. LA was where I learned to drive, where I excelled in band geekery (like you!), and so much more. I’m 41 and I just can’t imagine being in the thick of it right now, especially since I’m a mom now. I sincerely am grateful to hear you have been building community. I’m grateful you seem safer; though, anything can change. I hope you are able to find some comfort in all this. I don’t know you, but if I could give you my number to just give you an ear, I would. Please take good care of yourself. Definitely mask up and stay as kind to your heart as you move through all of this trauma. I will subscribe to make sure you’re okay. ❤

It’s scary rn. I’m from Altadena. My mom’s house tried and brother still live there and they lost everything! Hoping things will get better and mental states are put at ease sooner than later.

We grief seemingly intangible things too like childhood dreams so I get it when you say you feel like you have lost things. I am sending you all the love and strength for this very difficult time.

I’m glad you’re safe and TFS! I have family that had to evacuate and she couldn’t stop crying while trying to grab her documents and clothes. I can’t imagine being in that situation and I’m praying for everyone! Take care of yourself. 😊❤

14:38 suggesting that you know climate change has made this fire worse is an indicator that she has no idea what are the contributing factors are that all contributed. Clueless running her mouth. When you speak on something that you're clueless about your misguided and uninformed and look ... Do you know what

15:06 people are just going to work? Moving on? WTH is the matter with her? Not all areas are affected by the fire! What do you think you can just call in and say yeah there's a fire on the other side of town I need to take off work! Human resources are going to write you up as unexcused absence. This video is an embarrassment.

Used to live in L.A. (hs and college). This is terrible! Was recently in L.A. on Wednesday night. The high winds flipped the trucks on their sides. Big tow trucks had to be brought in. This was while fires were in other areas. It's that bad! L.A. has changed thru out the years. There's earthquakes but nothing like this🏘🏡🏠🔥🏚

I'm glad you are safe and sorry to hear that you are so close to it. I am in Palisades and Pasadena driving rideshare often and I thank God that I didn't really do a lot of driving that day it happened. I was charging my vehicle most of the day and I saw the fire in Palisades when I got off the freeway coming home that night, driving North, but I am closer to Westchester/Culver City. And yes that ash is crazy and haze is crazy. I've been here most of my life, moved to GA for 9 years and came back recently. Praying for all who are evacuating. There's never been a fire like this that reaches the area I am in.

It’s probably because you’ve lost your sense of security and stability. Put your trust in God. He’s the one constant that you can rely on he never fails. He can make beauty from ashes.❤

I’m so sad that one of the last remaining Black neighborhoods has been destroyed in Altadena. A lot of those families are unlikely to rebuild or stay in the city without a concentrated effort by leaders. The Black generational wealth is gone. So many of the people living in those homes were elderly Black people who bought their homes when redlining pushed them into those communities. Most are not tech savvy and are unable to navigate the government programs
