Most men are not extreme alphas or miserable losers. We are the men in the middle who are trying our best to live fulfilling lives.
In this video, we'll explore the concept of being a 'Man in the Middle' and help you discover your true identity as a man at 30 years old. Discover what it means to be a man at this stage of life and how to embrace it fully.

The timing of this is perfect. I've spent the past decade sacrificing a lot to progress and am now trying to get back to things I enjoy and want to do in my life. Balancing that with my wife and kids and a lack of others around me building a foundation to live life like I have has felt lonely. This has helped me clarify some things. Thank you!

I so needed to hear this. I’ve often felt like the silent majority. I can pay my own way, own house, car, married and always tried to kinda be a partnership with someone but the amount of mixed messages especially for young men from men AND women is a big issue. I’m now nearly 50, I think it’s a case of finding a purpose. Whether that is a charity, a job, a family member we as men need something to live for and work for. Also as an older guy. By god try and stay out of debt. I found a guy called Dave Ramsey who helped me massively financially and just wished I’d found him 20 years sooner. Great vid tho man. More people need to hear this.

Nice Strat! Alpha male is a goofy thing to label yourself first of all. I don't think it's really all that well defined. Some guys think it's an aggressive man that takes what he wants, by force , if necessary. He uses women and other men to get what he wants. That's not alpha to me, a man true to his word, does the right thing for the right reason, stands up for himself when necessary, lends a hand, asks for a hand if needed. He's a protector, lover, father, son, brother, husband. He doesn't label himself Top G, thats for sure.

For sure! The whole idea of the alpha /sigma male, and all the accompanying stupidity has really confused a lot of men. I like your description a lot more! 😊🙏🏻

@@midsonshort Thanks, Im on the same mission as you. I'm trying to help the generation coming up understand women and life, our young men need us, I want to help. It's an uphill battle though, with all the constant toxic content out there. You've got a more even outlook, I like the channel. Thank you for lending a hand! Also, fellow guitarist here, 40 years on the fretboard!

Americans and english speakers in general watch too many movies. Your parents didnt raise you, hollywood did. That is the problem with your society in general.

"Compare yourself to who you were yesterday, not to who someone else is today." I think this quote encapsulates the middle men that you are doing a great job of describing. Loved your video - didn't know I was interested in this topic until your video popped up in my feed, but I really resonated with some of the things you said! I am a middle man now, in my mid-30's and in the "family-rearing" stage of life, with having gone through the milquetoast phase and the womanizing phase before and ended up content in myself with my journey so far. I have some thoughts in response - Overall, thank you for the thought-provoking video! One thing that I did not see mentioned in the video was about our non-romantic relationships. One key part of my development has been holding on to good friendships and finding mentors. Both of these groups have been sources of strength and support throughout my adulthood. Experiencing alpha and sigma moments gives us perspective, to see what works and what doesn't (toxic vs pathetic vs a reasoned middle-ground). Being exposed to the extremes teaches us some lessons about the fantasy vs reality - there are some merits in the extremes but overall finding our path is aided by taking lessons from many places, keeping what works and leaving behind what does not. Living by your own code of conduct is key. Creating that personal code of conduct takes a lot of time and it actually seems quite "plastic" in the long term - firm but malleable to change with the right lessons and experience. We are not just trying to get ahead, but get ahead in our own way, through developing the skill to filter out more of the noise in the world to let us find our own goals and values and focus on them. Balanced sacrifice - we are not perfect, we are not monks and not all A-Type personalities. We like fun, some hedonism and relaxation, enjoying the journey, but also we have a sense of when to firm-up our behaviour and to take things seriously. Part of the journey is about developing a sense of what to care deeply about and what to not worry about. Growth happens in many ways and many directions. Maturing mentally, physically, emotionally, financially, with relationships. It can also happen at unexpected times and in unexpected ways. The quiet ambition of middle men that I respect and look to for inspiration and support always reflect an underlying assumption of change and growth and flexibility.

Im what they call a Sigma male i call myself a free bird. Grow up with a heart condition had to see a heart Dr until i was 15. On that last one i said give it to me for real. He did thankfully no one can say. So i set late 20's in my mind so full on party time smoke, drink, drugs (Im going out my way). Got into my 30's seen then out. Set my life goal i made it this age after self destruct found peace of mind. Now in my 50's peacefully happy on my own. There is a difference between on your own and loneliness a big one im happy in my own in pace.

I do not think there's a need for this video. Just an attempt at creating a new word that defines most men.

Fair point. I wasn’t meaning to define a new category, but rather bring a perspective to men who don’t find the extremes especially relatable. Wishing you all the best! 😊🙏🏻
