What made HITMAN: ABSOLUTION HD feel so different to other Hitman games? - REVIEW

*Mechanically, its the smoothest and most realistic game in the franchise IMO. the controls, the AI, environments, being able to take human shields....it does a few things better than the trilogy* 👍

I put it on easy, played it like John Wick, had a blast. I'm just playing through games on my 360 atm because I don't like games that requires internet like the new trilogy. The lads in work have nicknamed me 47 cause I'm bald and a security guard ha.

Absolution is probably the most action packed Hitman so great for a John Wick roleplay!

Yeah this game is literally just hitman's version of splinter cell conviction it's also considered the resident evil 6 of the series

I think despite it being a dumbed down Hitman game it still has fun moments.

Last time I looked it wasn't, but I think Hitman World of Assassination is which features the three recent Hitman games.

It looked great for its time. But It wasn't Hitman, or worse, it wasn't fun. There were a lot of games that did linear action much better than Absolution. It shouldn't have tried to become one of them. I'll give it some credit in story department. They actually did try to do something with it. The trilogy later just threw it out the window, which turned out for the better so maybe it was a good thing they didn't care about story all that much :D

I don't know, I did have fun with some of the contracts in particular the gun club one, but I agree it was a strange departure for the devs, but we have to remember at that time a lot of main line games were going action first.
