The information about DTV is incorrect. The visa is only 10,000 for five years, and every six months, you pay 1,900 for the extension. I listened to the interview with the Deputy of the Ministry of External Affairs of Thailand. He's been very clearly, the visa is just 10,000, and after six months, you can extend it for 1,900. You go out and come back the same day and get another 180 days.

@@alexisl4292 so basically it was all very new and when I heard about it all a while ago. People didn’t even know if you could renew at all. So it looks like now the 6 month extensions have been confirmed and are 1,900 each time. But the point of the message remains the same, that the DTV is an exciting visa and as it stands currently is way better (no brainer) compared the Thai Elite Visa.

Application for the DTV is ฿10,000 not ฿100,000! However, you do have a to have an investment ฿500,000 in a bank account or equivalent

⁠​⁠​⁠ it is a one time 10,000 application fee, for the 5 Years, and you can stay in the countryside 180 days get out for a day and come back for another 180 days on the same visa, nonpayment required, that goes for 5 years, after which you can renew your visa and pay again, you only pay once when you apply for the visa. So it is one 10,000 fee every 5 years not every six months.

The Thailand Elite Visa is REALLY great, but ONLY if you joined as an original life member, it still has good perks and privileges (help with banking, insurance, legal assistance.....etc), but us Life Members got the BEST deal ever, since our membership fee is amortized with every passing year.
