Great to see some other people from the Netherlands sharing their experience. You speak good Thai by the way. I live in Nijmegen and the weather sucks most of the year haha.

Asia is just more exciting and interesting if you grew up in the West. I'm Asian American from NYC and I also love just being in Asia. Not because I'm ethnically Asian, but because it is so different and crazy compared to how I grew up in America. Although, I must say Asians from Asia are exceptionally pleasant, respectful, smiley people. You feel the difference from the West immediately and it makes you feel very comfortable there.

Yeah bro thailand cheap and good quality about food residence house condo, that is why foreigners like to live in thailand
So what is his job then? Either it was never mentioned on purpose or a genuinely forgot to say it. Also if they are working then are they on the correct visa with a work permit?

Neal is doing an internship here, but he also has some online business

I can already tell you that most "westerners" you see working in Thailand are digital nomads working (although illegally) on their tourist visas. So no, they don't have a work permit, but are in fact actively violating the terms of their tourist visas. However, this is not a very big problem as it seems the Thai government freely allows it (look at the presence and abundance of co-working spaces etc.)

Is he Dutch? Hmm...Probably not. I'd just assumed he's average Thai Chinese men here.
@Sam_tyler_3 ай бұрын
Yes he’s Dutch.. with Indonesian parents

He has a Dutch accent - you can't revert his socialization just because he "appears" Chinese to you.

Please don't use the PRC flag to represent Chinese and the China before it fell under the CCP rule. In Chinese, there's no 'Chinatown' but 'Tang People Street". Our ancestors said they came from Tang Mountains and today when we speak our mother-tongues such as Cantonese or Teochew, we refer ourselves as Tang People. Use an Oriental dragon to represent the Chinese ethnicity and language. The Chinese language, writings, culture, festivals, etc. were not invented by the Chinese who are ruled by the CCP today.
