What made Berserk 2016 so much worse

first ever video ive done like this sure as hell the video that has taken me the longest i know this is like 8 years late but ive been super into berserk recently and i just finished watching 97 2016 and 2017 and i wanted to share my thoughts on these shows

$2 million is a really low budget, especially for a story that deserves the best in the business. The Acolyte season 1 cost $180 million 😂

Tbh I love the clanging sound. Could have been executed better, but the sound itself fits the sword great.

At times it's great but man sometimes they use it in the most weird places. I recently watched the blu-ray and to be fair, it's watchable, not that bad. Makes me sad about the wasted 2D potential though, some scenes look incredible

I wonder if we'll even get a proper adaptation moving forward. What's up with the memorial edition? Just randomly redid the same arc for the fourth time with less content and making it worse than 97.

maybe not a proper one but, there is two fan studios that are both making the black swordsman arc, Studio ARCHIE is doing the black swordsman arc in the 1997 Style and Studio Eclipse is doing it in a more modern style. so if you want a pretty good adaptation of either you could check them out

I imagine we’d get one after the manga is finished but in the time being there is a fan animation being made which is extremely impressive think the channel is Archie

@@IntheVibes_ fan made is cool but won't be much really. The quality is okay and will take like a few years to get 1 episode out so not really interested in it. Well atleast maybe some studio will see the dedication of fans and actually pick it up if they can.

Sometimes I think that everything that is good and does not fit into a certain agenda, they want to destroy or degraded with very bad adaptions. See Star Wars, Berserk, Lord of the Rings or Dragon Ball.

As someone who has watched both the golden age and the conviction arc now… I kind of really like them! But I also have see the 1997 anime as well! And don’t get me wrong… I don’t really like 3D animation.. but this kind of hit HARD for me. Especially as someone who has FINALLY picked up the berserk volume 1 deluxe edition I am freaking hooked! I am about to buy all 14

i watched the 2016 shows because the story was too good and the 2016 one WAS CARRIED ENTIRLY BY THE PLOT AND THE STORY, i wished i just read the manga worst mistake of my life.

i loved berserk 1997 so very such so when i started to watch berserk 2016 half way through the 1st episode i realized it was absolutely bullshit and switched to manga
