Thanks for doing an interview with Steve, it's cool to have someone talk with Xero that also understands the scripting and other things. I made the catppuccin rice, XeroSweet, XeroG (2 Versions), XeroXFCE (Grub & Wallpaper) Also made/tweak/learned coloring for the ascii he use on all the installs. With inkscape it wasn't thousands of lines but the main thing with it was I went into ricing and making the wallpaper, grubs, login screen walls etc from scratch and learned inkscape when doing it by just messing around with the program and learning what it can do. Hope you enjoy the Ascii & Wallpaper I made for the ArchTitus rice.

I overlooked how much DEBLOAT went on the KDE side of his distro. Love his work but also his distro maintainer insights and education on related projects (ex with the situation with Latte-dock, Wayland, XFS Grub, nvidia drivers..) I've just installed the latest iso on my workstation yesterday and can feel the heavy refinement that go under the hood. A true labor of love that giving the project high reputation.

Just query the kde group and remove the packages you don't need. What the script consider bloat could be something you need. In Linux everything is managed through the package manager, only what's necessary is installed

He has build the dream distro for users who want to enjoy bleeding-edge Arch in a productive environment since it has very simple maintaining GUI tools/scripts. Customized KDE has no comparison when it comes to push forward workflow efficiency. Bare bone when it comes to packages, WE get to choose what we put on it. I have no regrets making it my main distro and finally move away from my Win07 workstation that had tools I've used for more than a decade.

Decided to give Xero a shot after this, I've never had Lattedock run properly before this distro. Bounced around Pop, Garuda, Manjaro, Nobara, back to Manjaro, then to Xero. Well before this in the 2.4 days I tried Mandrake, Debian, and Gentoo. Things have come so far in 20 years it's pretty damn cool to be able to triple A game day one in not Windows. The leftover headaches will hopefully get resolved eventually. No I'm not a programmer else I'd try.

I have been completely moved over to linux as daily driver for few years now. The primary use of my system is gaming and general internet usage and media streaming. Even after all this time, I am very novice to linux itself. I believe as of this year, we have reached the point that a user like me is very viable as a linux user. I don't notice many limitations at all over a windows machine. Again, that's coming from a gamer. What I would love to know though regarding different distro's, if things are so similar under the hood beyond theme's and package managers, why does one distro run Software A, but not Software B. Another runs B, but not A, and maybe runs Software C degraded to the other Distro. Then a third distro seems to run everything just fine. Granted, we are now at a point that we have that third distro. In past years I seemed to try different distro's and pick the one that had the ability to run the majority of what I needed it to run. Sometimes this differ's even with different forks of the same root OS. I.E. Manjaro vs Garuda. Pop OS vs Zorin. Etc Etc. Normally this is games and the ability to run in WINE / Proton of course, but not always. Over the years I have tried FreeBSD?(seem to remember that), Red Hat, Mandrake, Ubuntu (years ago), Mint, Manjaro, Arch, Pop OS, Zorin OS, Garuda, Fedora, Nobara, and Regata. First one that I remember was user friendly was Mandrake for sure. I started going back and forth from windows to linux as a gamer about 5 or 7 years ago but inevitably, something forced me to make the switch to get something to run. All the way up through Nobara and Regata in the last 2 years. Until I tried Pop OS again and found for the first time, a stable gaming and general use system working as good if not better than a windows counterpart. I had tried it before years ago and experienced the normal issues, but now its running like a top. Knock on wood....

@@nishantshokeen4279 Nope sorry. If it was easy I would have done it ages ago. Gotta pay M$ money to get hardware signature or hack Arch to sign shims. There's a reason not many Linux Distros that support Secureboot. Ubuntu is in bed with M$ that's why they support it.
