Jericho is also one of the savest worker ever. He is old but still can go and that's another reason why is that good. He is not injured to a point where he cannot wrestle anymore. He didn't do big bumbs and got over by just being a good wrestler. He is just a smart man with a hell of a lot charisma

The craziest thing about Jericho’s career is that he never really had Vince’s true support, it actually could’ve been even greater if Vince saw him as a true top guy. Y2J was the biggest baby face behind Rock and Austin in the early 2000’s, they never fully capitalised on it and he never won the World title as a face in his career. (Also choosing Goldberg to beat Owens for the title in 2016, instead of a face Y2J which everyone wanted and made way more sense) Vince just never saw Jericho as a top star despite his overwhelming popularity. He was never pushed like one either despite being the first undisputed champion in 2001 after a heel turn- which was a transitional title reign, playing third wheel to the Stephanie Triple H storyline. He then wasn’t ever really pushed again as maineventer until 2008 when he reinvented himself. If you think about it from 2008-10 was the only time Vince saw and used him as a top star rather than an upper mid carder. All 6 of his World Title reigns in WWE were really short lived and he was never given the opportunity and backing to carry the company/brand. Annnnnd despite all this he still managed to carve out one of the greatest/most entertaining careers of all time. The cream eventually rises to the top. Just imagine how much better Jericho’s careers could’ve been if he was actually used and pushed to the heights of Cena or Triple H or Roman or Randy and even Edge (who was given 9 world title reigns in 3 years from 2006-09).

Jericho was treated amazingly well in WWE/F, considering he was a WCW guy. It's been proven over and over: if Vince didn't make you, you'll never be anything (with a small handful of exceptions) in his company.
@Spaced92
@Spaced92 3 жыл бұрын
@@d34dR0d3n7 He was literally threatened with being fired in his first year or two because he was told to hit Chyna (in a terrible angle) and she got a bruise. Vince never made him, he was over with crowds well before he got booked strongly. If Vince made stars that well, you'd think 90% of the WWE stars didn't make it big at other companies these days.

I'd say the two main factors are that he is always adapting and whatever his new gimmick is is usually a hit and the second being, as far as I know, he has always done his part to improve the business rather than just improve his own standing. Never heard of him politicking backstage and he was never afraid to do the job and put someone else over.

Here’s a few. Promos Consistently good/great matches which builds up a good relationship with the fans Charismatic Constantly reinventing himself when it is needed A fantastic mind to putting together stories and segment (the Festival Of Friendship, the Man of 1004 holds and the formation of the Pinnacle are some of my favourites) He’s been in some big storylines which people love to re visit like the Omega NJPW feud, the CM Punk 2012 feud, the Shawn Michaels 2003 and 2008 feud, the 2020 feud with Jon Moxley, the 2000 feud with Triple H. A lot of the funds I just mentioned then are quite recent and that’s because I believe as a performer in terms of character work Jericho has gotten better and better.

@d34dR0d3n7
@d34dR0d3n7 3 жыл бұрын
That's been my thing about that ending, there's one simple production fix that would have taken about an extra 10-15 minutes: paint every surface of those boards so they aren't so obviously wood and rig them to come apart instead of break. That he did that spot at all is still insane, but it's going to be haunted just as bad as the pyro botch from Mox v Omega. Which was exactly what we were promised with very cool moments...until that happened.
@liamhemstock2286
@liamhemstock2286 3 жыл бұрын
@@d34dR0d3n7 I don’t know. At least you could argue that the Jericho bump would have looked like it still would have hurt a bit and the fall was very dramatic. The Revolution ending was crap because we expected a massive explosion. We was promised a massive explosion and then we got some sparkles and that was it. We was never promised Jericho falling off the cage. Both ideas where fantastic in concept but the execution was awful for the Revolution match and there was no way to hide it but with the Blood And Guts match the ending was executed well it was just the camera angle that took away from the moment.

I do find it interesting to see just how much of wrestling is recycled from either the real world or from older wrestlers themselves. From Hulk Hogan's name being taken from the incredible Hulk to his appearance, which he took some tips from superstar Billy Graham. You can even look at more recent examples of successful wrestlers like Daniel Bryan, the whole Yes chant, he took it from Diego Sanchez in the UFC. Or my favorite, being the topic of this video, how the Miz basically ripped off Jericho in recent years.
