One of the best, greatest matches I've ever watched from Joe was Samoa Joe vs Low-Ki in ROH, 5/10/2002 at their Glory by Honor show. That match was insanely physical, hard-hitting, was like a hybrid pro-wrestling/MMA/Shoot Fight, and made me practically a lifelong fan of Samoa Joe

There’s definitely room for PPVs that aren’t named things like Backlash or Vengeance or whatnot. Wrestling is inherently ridiculous, and sometimes they need to embrace that.

He was constantly injured man. He screwed himself. Why do you think aj styles can still wrestle and do it at a pretty high level? He took care of himself. Joe didn’t and all the bumps caught up to him and wwe couldn’t trust him. And he was just a commentator and those are always replaceable. The release might be unpopular but it makes sense. Wish him the best tho. Maybe he can go somewhere else and actually wrestle. Maybe he wanted to in wwe and he wanted to be released bc he couldn’t. Who knows. But I’m not mad about the release honestly. And no I don’t hate joe. I love him. His promos were some of the most entertaining things in the whole company. Samoa Joe is one of the best wrestlers of any generation and I grew up watching Randy Savage back in the late 80's/early 90's. He is literally one of the only reasons I tune into wrestling anymore. I've watched him in TNA, NXT, WWE, and now AEW and he NEVER disappoints. I think that Will Ospreay may be the next big thing in wrestling after he is gone.

I RARELY agree with Jack the Jobber but DAMMIT HE HITS THE NAIL ON THE HEAD RIGHT HERE!!! I loved Joe's Corkscrew Plancha at Unbreakable. I wish he did it in WWE at big time shows like Wrestlemania and the like. Not only was that dive spectacular because of his big man agility, but he SAVED IT FOR THE SPECIAL OCCASSIONS THAT NEEDED IT! As much as I'm going to miss his in ring work and dread the fact that he never won a Royal Rumble, King of the Ring Tournament, or beat guys like Lesnar in a Submission match for either the WWE or Universal Championship; I think I'm going to miss his contributions to UpUpDownDown just as badly! I would say a lot of things really, he is similar to Walter as he fits in almost any era which makes him appeal to everyone in a way. Now I think Walter is better in that aspect because I can see Walter in the Golden Era where I can’t with Joe. I think his wresting is also world class and he carries himself as a mega star in the ring and is brutal but uses his dive to the outside perfectly in my opinion, unlike a lot of wrestlers when Joe does a dive it has more impact due to the size of him and that he doesn’t do it often. Joe is also incredibly believable. Can he ACTUALLY beat Brock Leasner in a fight? No probably not but he makes it look like he can. Joe has this incredible intensity that brought out Brock Leasner’s best storyline since the CM Punk feud for SummerSlam 2013. Also to make it more sad these are the matches/feuds WWE missed out on Tribal Chief Roman vs Samoa Joe John Cena vs Samoa Joe Kevin Owens vs Samoa Joe Walter vs Samoa Joe Prince Finn Balour vs Samoa Joe Big E vs Samoa Joe Rey Mysterio vs Samoa Joe (not the 2019 version we actually got) Samoa Joe vs Bobby Lashly Samoa Joe vs Karrion Kross Samoa Joe vs Matt Riddle in a Fight Pit Samoa Joe vs Drew Mcyntyre Samoa Joe vs Sheamus What an absolutely crap decision to release him just to say “we had a nice profit recently, do you watch Raw? It's hard to say definitively on things like this, but gun to my head: I would probably say Samoa Joe is my all-time favorite wrestler. Definitely my all-time favorite North American wrestler, at least. His run across ROH and TNA in the mid-2000s is nigh incomparable. Joe vs Punk, Joe vs Styles vs Daniels, Joe vs Kobashi.... legitimately some of the very very best professional wrestling matches I've ever seen (from either side of the Pacific).

Fantasy booking: summerslam 2018 samoa joe vs aj styles they put on the best match of the year and samoa joe wins by making aj tap out then joe decimates the smack down roster putting on classics with the likes of shinsuke nakamura, randy orton, jeff hardy and andrade. Royal rumble: we are in the final four keith lee, brock lesnar, roman reigns and daniel bryan bryan try's to eliminate reigns but fails and gets hit with a super man punch but then a series german suplexs by lesnar and lee from behind takes down lesnar but lesnar get's up and a belly to belly over the top rope but lee skins the cat at the last second and running knee from bryan dazes brock and lee with a big bang catastrophe over the top lesnar is out but then a spear from reigns and then he runs at bryan but he pulls down the top rope and roman goes flying over now were down to the final two lee and bryan they go at it for a few minutes and then bryan goes for the knee but lee catches him and spirit bomb over the rope lee has won the rumble. lee picks joe for wrestlemania and wins after a spirit bomb off the top rope and celebrates with his family.

Personally, the whole "AJ Styles family" storyline from a couple years back shows how great Joe really is better than anything else I know. Not because it's a particularly great storyline, far, far from it. It's pretty awful, all things considered, and in the hands of just about anyone else, it would go down as one of the "ugh, do you remember _that_ terrible idea they had?", while Samoa Joe just made you feel terrified by literally everything he does. The guy can sit down and read a made up idiotic "fairy tale" while sitting in an armchair and looks like the most terrifying thing in the world while doing so. Guy is just a genius at making this stuff work.
