I’m actually shocked how much my dystonia seems to be healing up. I put together a plan to retrain my brain about a year ago. I worked really hard for minimal success until I started experimenting with psychedelics. Microdosing went shockingly well. I actually learned how to sit up much better the first day. But the real magic happened when I gave DMT a try. First dose I was playing my guitar again 20 minutes later. Second dose, the chronic pain lifted and never returned. The 3rd, I saw exactly what was going wrong with my vision and sense of self and watched my brain rearrange reality til it made sense and I could turn my head left to right. Literally, my brain learned to stop engaging with the dystonia and build a new movement to replace it. It’s not quite a year later and I feel about 80% better!

I have dystonia in my eyes. I noticed it got worse one day when I was out biking. I had to pull over to the side of the road and it took every ounce of strength to keep my eyes open while they were in pain in order to get home safely. The pain is triggered when it snows or rains. Been dealing with this since I was 28. It used to be just the left eye, but this year I notice it's also the right eye.

Does anyone have itchy scalp from your nerves?I had neck surgery for numbness in my arms & was no longer able to work in 2006 & 2023 numbness in my arms & pain was so severe last few weeks after covid pneumonia but i have been doing exercises at home to get strength back. Infusion was the surgery on my neck but didn't know I had dystonia at the time. I also have RA arthritis which weather effects severely. All my life have had weird social problems & not be able to eat in crowds. I'm almost 70 & just diagnosed. I'm glad to know what it is but it would have been better to know at earlier time. My sis has same. Does anyone else have several family members? Thank you for your video. God bless everyone 🙏🏻 ✝️ ❤️

Itchy scalp was one of my worst symptoms it drove me nuts! I am only one with dystonia in my family but my grandma always said the goofiest stuff about her head always pulling to the side because that’s the side she watches tv. Over the years I’ve watched her, my uncle, and my fathers posture all twist them up without any explanation. They don’t have any repetitive movement symptoms tho. I’m kinda suspicious you can have it all your life and never figure it out. That’s my theory after finding out doctors just can’t spot it. Even spent a week in the hospital after a 2 day long storm and nobody realized I had dystonia. It all makes me think it’s more common than we’re told. I was misdiagnosed as depressed and think this could happen a lot actually. Hope this comment finds you well. I will share that it seems you can learn to do anything you like with this condition, just takes time and patience. Meditation, dance, playing music, and spending time alone in nature all helped me build a new language for my body to use. I’m about 80% recovered actually and still getting better daily more or less. I’d definitely encourage you to to try and learn new ways to use your body too I can’t even describe how much better life is now!
