23:15 I always ask people before they rant, "Are you looking for comfort or help?" and then go about the conversation accordingly. Sometimes people know how to deal with their problems and need to know someone else cares. Sometimes not, but its just nice to be able to say what we feel without someone trying to tell us how to change the situation!!! ❤️

okay when y'all started talking about why girls hate it when guys give them advice about their problems, i was like omg i know this one!! i'm sure this doesn't go for everyone, but personally, when i'm talking about my problems, i just want my feelings to be heard and validated. sometimes i do want advice, in which case i'll ask for it. but most of the time, i just want to tell the person what's going on and have them agree with me/back me up. at least that's my perspective

the part about the tip Cynthia saying that it's belittling is just her reading into it and making something out of nothing. That comes from an immature mindset and perspective from her. No adult or mature person would think about that unless immature and insecure.

for me the reason that I would hate a guy offering me solutions when I rant is because I almost always know the actual solution to the problem, I just want emotional support in that moment. but now what I usually do is tell my man beforehand that I want emotional support in that moment, not solutions. communication in those moments solves a lot of problems :)

22:02 I definitely relate to this and the reason for it is because when a girl vents about their problems they don't necessarily want a solution. they just want to vent. I also feel like saying oh just do this and that it can feel invalidating because the guy oversimplifies the problem and like I said before sometimes a girl doesn't ask for a solution, they ask for company.

With the nonchalant thing in my opinion, it’s all about honestly and if you really care about the person and like Cynthia said you can check up later, but at the same time you should have to check in with each other. Devin I agree with you 100% in just a nonchalant person in general but if i start talking to someone & if I care about you I wouldn’t want to make myself look not cute or psycho, I think that’s why I haven’t been in a relationship but then again I’m 21 & I know I have to experience it but I don’t want to too far deep into something & me being all heartbroken & don’t know when I’ll fully be over it- I really hope someone gives me their opinion on this

At like 12:50 about the tip, in the UK its called a service charge and it's included unless you want to tip them extra which is not that common.
@EllyWilliams82 жыл бұрын
We have tax included in all our prices in Australia it’s against the law not to. But in relation to tipping at dinner what you are paying is not tax money it’s just custom in the USA, and extremely normalised/expected. Whereas in Australia tipping isn’t really normal at all and even 50c is not expected. On top of that, some restaurants that allow tips to be accepted, don’t let the staff keep them personally, they must give them to their boss.

There’s a difference between you going out with friends and them being nonchalant about it “okay have fun be safe” than you asking “I feel like you don’t even like me” and they’re just like “okay, idk what to tell you” isn’t nonchalant, they simply just don’t care. Imo

He doesn’t always tip good ( in my opinion) and sometimes he doesn’t even know , I put it down and I don’t even think he cares. the thing about women not wanting answers and guys wanting answers was very interesting... idk if this statement is too generalizing but i feel like guys want an answer because they want to move on from the frustration/situation quickly and resolve it while girls want time to process their feelings and have those feelings validated first. and a lot of the time when you go to rant to a friend, you already kinda know the solution and what you should do theoretically, but something is stopping you emotionally. so you just wanna go for support. idk if that makes sense

BUT what if you start to realize or have the feeling that their friend doesn't ever want to try to initiate a friendship you as well. like they only really wanted to hang out with the person you're talking to and didn't make an effort to invite you or get to know you. cause that'd be weird to me

When girls rant they’re usually not looking for a solution but just an outlet to voice their problems. Ask if they just want to rant or if they want help solving their problem. Girls usually want comfort before they ask for help
@kimberlyavalos7482 жыл бұрын
Omg I had a similar conversation w/ my bf about the whole hug and handshake thing. Tbh I don’t care if my homegirls handshake or hug my bf when they’re greeting. What I do care is how the hug is given. My bf is pretty tall compared to me and all my homegirls, he’s 6’2 and I’m 5’3 and my girlies are 4’11-5’1 ish height (not that it’s relevant). Anyway I’m not comfortable with hugs when the girls reach for around his neck and it leaves him with his hands / arms around their waist. It’s way too intimate for me especially with the height difference cause it’ll either bring his body down or my friends will be on their tippy toes and their faces are closer together. It’s like way too much effort is being put into that hug that it’s sus, yk? A side hug or regular hug is good and less intimate.
