Tracks form up so different with event types . Eg manji has classes of slow riders the brake early and chop the throttle alot . I've noticed when events are just full of pro riders track doesn't get as rough ( or different kind of rough ).
@AMM19983 жыл бұрын
yup you're totally right inexperienced riders do a lot of weird shit on track which causes unusual deformation

Same here at Lelystad (NL), this track is used by many top riders (Herlings, Coldenhof, etc) to train hardpack.. They always ride in the morning. If they rode the track lines are way nicer, more round and faster, ruts are deep but keep their circle shape. When the track is first ridden by hobby people all lines are sharp, tight, almost like a triangle with the point at the apex. Ruts aren't consistent and harder to stay in. Loads of braking and acceleration bumps at briljant spots. Big Bob on his 450 opening and closing the throttle multiple times each turn. Hobby people really can destroy the track.
@aivorebane30502 жыл бұрын
@@wernerxldata true! I noticed same thing always. Good riders make track rough but it is so enjoyable even for amateur later.

How refreshing is it to hear a pro say they can't scrub. I can't whip yet either haha. I feel like I need to learn how to do both of those to make up time around the track, and look cooler haha
@DP-3813 жыл бұрын
@@danepjevac8832 yeah man scrubbing and whipping is pretty much a necessity these days especially if you wanna make up time. So many young riders seem to be able to it with ease. I’m not overly worried tho, depends how far you wanna take it and far you wanna go with your riding career. It’s a bit late for me lol. I’m happy just being a weekend worrier, having fun and keeping fit.

I just went to the Lommel GP this year so one weak ago and it's not quite as bad as he says, they do fix track from Saturday to Sunday and they fix the take offs and some sections between races. We had my godfather with us who used to race the GPs on the 500s in the 80s and back in his day it was actually that way, they didn't fix the track at all, all weekend and after 40min plus 2 laps 500GPs plus all the other stuff, the waves were 1m deep, it was basically super track whoops all around

I think its changed a bit because of the format change to a 1 day format. EMX on saturday and the GP's on sunday, but none the less they arn't manicured in the same way that other serieses are

Back when I raced state series the amateur race would go all day no prep just water and the starts periodically. About 8 15minute practices, 20 motos x2 with 6 laps a moto except peewee bikes and 65cc. So it definitely got brutal rough.
