Those knees to the inner thigh are vile, they connect with heavy torque to a sensitive region and bludgeon the nerve endings, causing muscular cramping, loss of strength in the thigh and intense pain. My sparring partner timed, half stepped out, intercepted and caught a reverse side kick of mine, kneeing my inner thigh as he let the intercepted rear leg go. I have to take a knee and had a bruise the size of a small hand print the next day for good measure. Those are no joke 😅😫

@@NateTheNoble Subscribe to my channel cause in about 3 months, I’ll be be starting my filmed podcast about this very subject. But to put it simply for now, martial artist think the weaker you are, the more proof a technique works. Many believe stronger you are, it’s harder to determine if the technique actually works or did the guy win because he was just a powerhouse. So once a weakling martial artist sees the technique worked for them, they believe strength is useless and unnecessary. One other thing worth remembering about Overeem, was his almost unmatched ability to... negotiate paychecks. With all the recent controversy surrounding fighterpay in the UFC, it is all the more impressive that he got paid more than almost any champion. In boxing, he lacks a lot in defense. He's too direct and predictable. He lacks head movement and he usually charges straight, which is a perfect hitting target for boxers. He does block punches, but how long and how much could he block? If you had someone with great fighting IQ like fury, Fury would take Overeem to school for a free boxing lesson. Overeem is fundamentally a kickboxer, he heavily relies on his kicks, knee strikes, and sweeps or throws. Take those away from him, and only relying on his punches, it'll be a huge handicap for him
