I just realized that I never circled back as promised to what “CR920XP” all stands for. My apologies, here ya go: CR - Covert Role (deep concealment) 920 - 9 is for the caliber (9mm) 20 is for the year the pistol was designed (the original CR920 was designed in 2020) X - X configuration, crossover. Full length grip with shortened slide like the Glock 19X. P - Performance. All compensated Shadow Systems fall under their Performance platform.

You are the first person I have seen with the MPO Pro S like I have in my 920XP! I put the new TLR7 HLX Sub on it. I carry it every day and soon dropping a RAMM Tactical trigger in it. This gun was made for me, the way it shoots is actually unbelievable. Stay safe fellas

I know I don’t have the largest hands.. but I find the 920p with the +1 base pad on the mag is just perfect to get an almost full grip. I considered getting the XP instead but to It made more sense to have a smaller more concealable grip and be able to plus it up as needed to a full grip or when clothing choices allow.. You can cant, wedge your holster to death.. all that does is make it harder to get a proper grip when drawing from concealment.. if you’ve trained enough at the range you know this to be true. Is rather have a smaller grip hanging off the body a little that I can get a solid purchase on in a hurry from concealment.. then have the larger frame wedged and clawed into my body that I can’t get a proper purchase everytime coming out the holster. If we are being honest getting the web seated and two solid fingers on is more important to the grip then missing the grip just a little cause you have it twisted canted and turned into your body or deep into your belt so much that you’re like a mechanic wearing a watch trying to get to that odd bolt under the hood.. If I’m going to a full size frame gun.. I’m just going to go to a full size gun that is always going to shoot better ported or not.. I’d go mr920 before going cr920xp.. and yeah I know the width is most important in carry comfort.. im 5/8 155 and never had an issue when I carried the g19.. he’ll my first carry gun was a 92fs 😂😂. it’s a usability/shootability sliding scale.. the bigger gun is always going to shot better. If you really want to think outside the box.. the new M&p compact 4” and 3.6” are full frame guns but are only 1.16” wide which is only 0.04” wider then the shield plus is.. so one has to ask.. why😅 Always found it funny we went to as small as possible to now we have gone back to a full six compact gun and amazed at round counts we fit in them.. yeah cause it’s a regular compact pistol in size again lol.. Now I do currently carry the cr920p.. and I carry it with me a spare xp 15rn mag and the +1 plate on the 10 making it 11 but much smaller form still then the pinky extension or the 13rd.. speaking of I don’t understand the pinky extension on these cause it makes it the same size as the 13rn mag 🤷‍♂️. But I wanted length for sight radius and accuracy not bigger grip or more capacity.. again if I wanted that I’d just go back to the g19 or the mr920

I can tell you first hand. This was not all hype. I just hit 2,600 rounds through the XP. Five different brands, four different grains, and a mix of JHP and FMJ. I am proud to say, I did not have one single malfunction of any kind. Six different magazines as well. The people that have issues with these are the ones that don’t read the manual or listen to Trevor from SS. Comped firearms like hotter loads. So, he and his lead engineer said over and over. Feed it 124 grain at a minimum. So many people come on YT and complain about issues, yes, they are caused by them and not the product. This has been my EDC for just around three months. And after all that testing, I trust it with my life.

@@BanditApache-nd6lu exactly right. And so far in my break-in, I am having zero malfunctions of any kind. Plus perfect consistent ejection pattern and the slide is running hard and fast, no sluggishness at all. Couldn’t ask for more.

I think a lot of people will soon be crossing over from their typical compact carry guns to these slightly over micro sized guns. They’re not as tiny as micros (P365, Hellcat) so they still have length and height dimensions most would be comfortable with, but so much slimmer like a Micro and way easier to carry without losing controllability while shooting. And I think that this particular gun may be the perfect answer for most people. I love the size and the ergos and while it IS comparable to the P365XL and the Dagger Micro, I like how it feels in the hand better. From the grip feel to the stippling. They have a real winner.

I’m stuck in the comp craze and honestly can’t see myself going back. If I can make shooting easier then why wouldn’t I? Other than competition rules my guns will be comped from here on if possible. I see a lot of people hating the “comp trend” but it’s like not wanting to have a car with ABS brakes lol.
@AtoZEDCreviews
@AtoZEDCreviews 27 күн бұрын
@@madeintexas1213 there are some minor drawbacks to a comped or ported carry gun, but not as many as some people like to say. The only concern I have for myself personally is if I’ve somehow managed to let someone get close enough to me that they’re on top of me and I have restricted movement and end up with a compromised draw and am shooting from close retention. I know the hot gasses will end up in my face. That is worrisome but not enough to stop me from enjoying what I like. It does make me decide on a compensator over porting more times than not because a ported gun will send piercing shards of copper jacket and even lead that’s hot as fire up with the gasses and you can lose an eye permanently.

While I'm a Shadow Systems fan and own several of them, I have had issues with some. I do not believe they are made to tighter tolerances as many claim. My Glocks are definitely better fitted. I'm also not a fan of some of their small parts. I've replaced many with Glock OEM parts and they were much better.
@AtoZEDCreviews
@AtoZEDCreviews 27 күн бұрын
@@dustyd6617 it’s entirely possible that you have gotten some that just weren’t as good as some other people’s. That sucks. As far as tolerances go, I know a lot of guntubers use the term all the time, but I’m a knifemaker, and I work in tolerances… so when I say it, it’s not a buzzword like some others. I don’t bash Glock, I’ve owned many and all served me well. No complaints. I also love my FNs, I still have some and enjoy the hell out of them. And I’ve owned more than a few P320s (none now and never will again) But, they are sloppier fit slide to frame rails and barrel lockup. My FN 509 Tactical isn’t but that’s because it’s a match grade barrel and it’s a more precision gun than the standard models. The G19X I had was also noticeably better fit than every other factory Glock I’ve owned. Definitely no slouch. But speaking in generalities, Glocks are specifically designed (by their own marketing speak) to be thrown in the mud and in the dirt and function right out of the box. That means there is enough clearance within these internal friction areas to allow for grit to be in there without causing routine stoppages. Your granddaddy’s 1911 is sloppy like that. And a hand lapped Wilson Supergrade is not. One is extremely accurate, and one works in awful conditions. Both need regular maintenance but one needs it specifically more often and more detailed. Same here. The Shadow Systems will need the oversized machined parts to marry together in a break-in period. If I had to guess, the parts aren’t even hardly oversized. They’re probably made to mate 100% exact (which is already TIGHT) then they’re adding 1-2 microns of coatings in their finishes and it needs to wear in the finish just as much as the metal. That’s just my guess though, they’ve never stated that anywhere that I’m aware of.
