My first encounter with an AI controlled Tyrion in Warhammer 2 was during a two player campaign of me and my friend both playing lizardmen. Tyrion launched an invasion against Lustria. We watched in abject horror as he personally tanked an entire army and a half worth of saurus warriors with shields, waltzed through them like one would casually mow their front lawn, barely took any damage, and he didn't even have the Sword of Khaine yet. We took out his entire army, but barely managed to scrape by against him. I was horrified and intrigued by how devastatingly powerful this high elf lord was at base and he wasn't even in his final form! Then forty turns later we wondered where Tyrion went because he had declared war against us, but we hadn't seen him or his armies since that first invasion attempt. When we decided to sail to Ulthuan we discovered that Grom the Paunch had nearly defeated all the high elves (which seems extraordinarily rare in my hundreds of hours playing TWWH2) and Tyrion was on his last legs, but still alive and kicking with two full armies at his beck and call. Unfortunately we beat the lizardmen campaign shortly after, so we didn't see how the final confrontation between Grom and Tyrion would have gone. Either way if we had continued past the end, I'm sure we would have fought whoever won and Grom is a beast if he managed to defeat most of the high elves.

Watching Legend turn red territory plus with a -10 PO + bloodline of Aenerion serves as proff of how strong the HE can become. Tyrion is also much better as a confederated lord as his bonuses lose too much momentum mid game. The only weakness of the elves is that resources quickly lose their flavour because of how weak order factions have become, also, I shrug to think how tough HE would become had the AI return to not imbecille mode.
