My biggest bull case is once they make something like Sopranos or Friends, people watch it for decades and they collect revenue at extreme margins after the fact. The more A+ content they produce (Game of thrones, Last of Us, Barbie) the more content they build to their library. Over the years things like writers strikes won’t affect them because they will have such a built up library

The problem with these calculations is it doesn't account for one word: Bankruptcy. Sure you could make 10, 20, 30, even 40% off this investment but with their debt level you could also make a big fat zero when they file for bankruptcy. People are so quick to forget the past when most of the major automakers filed for bankruptcy and shareholders got shafted. Just remember when you hold individual stocks your entire investment can always go to zero. This is why low debt is generally safer since bankrupting a company with no debt is difficult if not impossible.

I know you like to look at the company history and extrapolate from there. And most of the time that works but not here. This company has only existed in its current form for about a year. The long-term financial history doesn't provide any real insight to the future. I'm a shareholder that just started buying in the past few weeks. Yes, the debt is high but they are executing on their plan to aggressively pay it down. Like Peter Lynch said in his latest interview "you make money on stock by buying something going from bad to good or good to great." If they keep reducing the debt at their current pace it will totally be a "going from bad to good" story.

@stevenbond46379 ай бұрын
PHM is gone to the moon :) looks great, wish I saw your post four months ago :) MBUU still cheap, the big dip in eps lately is nearly all because they had to pay 100m out of earnings for damages after a years long court case, so most of a years revenue, one assumes they won't just get 20m insurance cover in future and that won';t happen again, if the 10% hit or so to revenue maybe on bad press doesn't have a bigger or more lasting impact than at current prices - on thier first full bounce back year - they'll be trading at 6 times Free Cash Flow or something with super stable earnings and margins, it's quite tempting

Mike, has mental issues, I get the world thinks he was the only one screaming the housing market crash, he was not, I was born that time their was a few calling for it. Mike is a dangerous and st time very unstable man, but extremely smart when he isn’t off his rocker. Dude goes from manic to depressed, and some of his actions are dangerous, a lot of idiots idealize this man, he is brilliant, but he is also brilliantly cryptic, and a lot of times way to early, then beats that drum until he is t early. I don’t know if that makes sense, but he is not some walking seer, he has a system like all of us, and that system is great on a percentage like all. The average Joe should not be messing with there portfolio’s like him.
