Sir I am 2024 graduate from tier 3 clg in Kolkata I failed in GATE 2024. Preparing from August for 2025 GATE exam. I also got an job offer through off campus but my joining not come yet. This will be 3rd time I will be appearing for GATE. Can u please guide me ? I want to pursue MTech and do specialization in ML. Feeling very tensed and disappointed with my current situation

two suggestion I will give you 1. Joining offer will come for the job, so dont be frustrated. And when you will get the joining date, please do join and keep preparing with Job. 2. Regadring Gate, keep preparing and give 100%. If your goal is to pursue MTech, this is the best time. Once you get into job, you wont get much time. So utilise as much as possible. Hello sir.. I want to know your insight about career opportunities if someone clears GATE and joins PhD late in career, say in mid thirties.. is it too late for a career in research? Thanks in advance

Its not at all too late. Yes very hard to find such example as an motivation. I started my Phd at 30 and very happy for the decision. Coming to career opportunity, in academics there might be an issue with age (35 is cutoff for general). But in industry you should not face any issue. In industry if you have skill and research potential you will be selected.

Is 733 rank is good for mechanical (general) for getting PSU or top 5 IITs(core) ... I am 2021 passout.. Worked in infosys and left last year(2023) to prepare for gate.
