Same here. Just watched the 4k disc and it makes the experience of this great movie even better. Especially the color, which is much richer. Also we see more of black widow, who has never had enough of a chance to shine. The chemistry of all of the characters really make this film a standout.

The reason I was team Cap and like Bucky the most is bc he is an incredibly complex character. I feel what he went through with Hydra is possibly the worst thing any character went through. And to have to live with the guilt and need knowing if someone’s going to trip your assassin alter on. I love how this video they explore the complexities in Steve and Bucky’s relationship.

Some made a really good point that Bucky probably wouldn't even trust himself to become the icon of American patriotism that Cap had come to embody. He was a Nazi killer for a long time, and the public saw his face plastered on the coverage of the UN bombing, so he's not exactly a well-loved public figure. Besides, he doesn't want to fight anymore, anyway. I'm sure he would have been extremely honored to hold the shield, but I think he would have ultimately turned down the responsibility that came with it. Bucky is a great hero, but he wasn't what America needed in such an iconic role.

So the writers say that when Steve went back to the SAME timeline and had a relationship with Peggy, but during the time Bucky was on the run old man Steve helped him regain his memory back (how else would he get it back?). That's why Bucky wasn't surprised at all when Steve went back, because he already new that happened. He didn't abandon Buck, he actually helped him a lot.

I loved Infinity War and End Game. But Bucky wasn't ready to be in a fight. But he did it and stood on the front line, just like everyone else. And then at the end of Infinity War, when Cap called for backup, Bucky showed up. Fandom and I think the MCU agree (I think) that when Cap said "Avengers Assemble," everyone who appeared through a portal is now an AVENGER. IMO. I think Bucky became an avenger when he faced Thanos. I think there were six or seven of them there? Cap, Wanda, Black Widow, Groot, Okoye, Thor....My memory is going. ..I think I'm missing one...Just saying that Bucky knew that particular fight was going to be a losing fight, a fight to the death, and when Cap called for back up, Bucky answered.

Because PTSD... About fighting, about war, about killing... And about his damn arm... Fighting... He had fought just about every single one of his teammates (a sad achievement really)... And half of that with intension to kill. Won't be surprised if he get flashbacks when fighting, even if this time it's with them not against. War... well, the last time he's in a war, it really didn't end well for him did it... Killing... fifty years working as an mindless assassin for his worst enemy... All the missions... Again, won't be surprised if he get flashbacks of his victims when he puts his hand on the trigger. His metal arm... It represented everything Hydra did to him... And everything he did for Hydra. It's a haunting reminder for him, and it doesn't matter which arm his using, it's the idea of his metal arm. Bucky Barnes is the most underrated character in the MCU. Steve became the man that he was because of him, he fought even when he didn't want to because of him, he took a beating and almost died because of him, etc. Civil War goes to show how important his character is as Bucky and the White Wolf. One thing I wish this video also talked about is the fact that in Captain America: The Winter Soldier Bucky was sent to kill Captain America, not Steve Rogers. So, when they are on the plane and Bucky is beating Steve, he lets go of his persona of Captain America and becomes the true Steve Rogers that he has always known him as, the friend who is there to the end and will gladly take death over hurting him. That is when it clicks in that it's Steve, his friend, and not Captain America his "mission", which leads him resisting, remembering, saving him from the river, and fighting alongside him in Infinity War. Hopefully, he's brought back in Endgame and it is NOT the end of the line for either of them because it is going to rip my heart in half to see any of them truly go. I say that as I am wrapped in a, non-accurate, Avengers blanket.

Winter Soldier is such a relevant name to give him because it has been used in numerous ways in military circles and even speeaches. It relates to the tougher, more resistant and brave, to the more lethal and the most questionable actions but also to some core values. it's really great to reseach about the term and then realize how fitting it is to have Bucky named a Winter Soldier. It correlates to his proess in combat but also to his complexity as an individual. It's one of the more clever names and nobody realizes it, I honestly feel like he is severely under used in his last few appearances and i honestly hope the new show get's to explore his psyche more. He is so interesting, his conflicts and guilt, his will to prove himself a better person after so much... it kind of sucks that Civil War did not had the time to dive deeper into this part of him and i hope, maybe against all hope, that we will eventually explore that, because he is a great character and i feel like, by glossing over those aspects, the majority of people ended up not connecting or nor understanding him.

Honestly, Steve has great feelings about Bucky. he lost him in 1943 and after the 70 years he spent in ice he was so lonely without him, before he found out that he was the Winter Soldier. And Bucky definitely doesn't wanna leave Steve alone.

Considering that WS and Iron Falcon are getting their own show together for Marvel's lineup in the Disney streaming service next year, i'm sure we'll see a lot more about him. Between that and that Chris (cap) has his contract ending and he wants to move on, I bet these two will share the role of Captain America, as they both have done in the comics. BBis def. my favorite character and i'm sure he won't be stopping anytime soon.

Bucky definitely had a say in Endgame by giving it to Falcon, it shows that he really humbled himself and realized that he wasn’t able to take it due to his past. My favorite character right there. Plus funny how he fell in the Danube and Sebastian Stan is Romanian. Danube runs through Romania

1. Cap didn't know it was Bucky that killed Tony's parents. He knew Hydra killed them and I think suspected Bucky but he was not sure until the video. 2. Cap saving Bucky in CW was not just about saving Bucky. It was about saving Tony as well. If Tony murdered Bucky he would not be able to come back from that. Cap would have done what he did at the end of CW regardless of who that person his. He would do it because it is the right thing to do which was, not allow your friend to kill another friend who is innocent out of revenge.

I don't cry very easily, but I was downright SOBBING at this. Bucky is my favorite character of all time and is severely underrated. Captain America: The Winter Solider is probably the downright best movie of all time. Bucky is played so well by Sebastian Stan and I can't imagine him played by anyone else. Also, quick little rant but WHO THE F*CK THOUGHT IT WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA TO MAKE CAPTAIN AMERICA OLD. I was not emotionally ready for that and I cried more when he became old then when Ironman died. I truly believe that the next movie will begin with him dying and hi funeral, and I'm not ready to begin the movie crying. The fact that he left Bucky WHO. IS. HIS. BEST. FRIEND. is upsetting and I'm not a fan of this choice.
