@@Grimsded the way they talked about her “rolls of fat” and grabbing at her body, and choosing clothes that are baggy and drape over her figure, it reminds me of my mum and her generation that are vicious about women’s bodies. It’s horrible that people are so mean about how others’ bodies look - and for what? What do they gain from finding the worst in everyone?

Fashion that is based on how to “flatter you figure” aka show off what men find desirable in you despite that not aligning with your personal style/boundaries
@Kateiswriting
@Kateiswriting Жыл бұрын
@@hhh1234h For real. I understand that turtlenecks don't flatter everyone but there are plenty of *other* styles of shirt that still cover your cleavage: it didn't need to be a choice between being covered up to the chin and what they picked out. They could even have helped her pick out a style to draw attention away from her chest (since she was self conscious about it) rather than just trying to make her "desirable". And honestly, if Sandy feels happy and comfortable in her clothes then who cares if they're "flattering?" It seems like they took a happy, confident woman and made her doubt and second guess herself.

What was wrong with her original style? If some of the clothing was not overly flattering for her figure, those are simple fixes in just fixing the way the clothing sits on you (either through buying something better fitting or getting a tailor to custom fit it). Telling her that she needs to change her entire style is just awful. And, the body-shaming, too! People should be allowed to dress as they see fit, so long as it's appropriate for public spaces. I've seen people dress up in medieval outfits walk around the town, and I've seen people dress in bright, bold outfits. All of them are beautiful in their own right. She had a neat style before! Also, that 'Karen' haircut is NOT doing it for me. Her old style just needed a little bit of freshening up with a small trim and some layering, in my honest opinion.

To me, it seems like Sandy was okay with being modest and covering up. She felt great in those clothes but the stylists insisted that she has to show more to feel better. Which isn’t the case! You can feel beautiful covering up or showing everything it’s personal preference

I have large breast...I hate low cut tops it makes me feel icky and like everyone is staring(even tho I know they arent) I can show just a tad bit of clevage but I cant wear low cut tops or tops with half my breast hanging out and feel good and confident...I dont judge women who can dress that way its just not something Im comfortable with...not every person is comfortable showing the same amount of skin as others and that should be ok and not a reflection of how they view other people.

I hope Sandy finds this video and sees all the comments supporting her. and I hope she recovered from that awful experience even more confident in her own style.

They took a lady who had a fun and unique style (sure it wasn't "in" back then but who cares), filmed her without her consent, made her self conscious, made fun of her fat rolls, pressured her to move on from her divorce, and overall just shit on her for no reason other than they thought she didn't dress well??

I love Sandy's style and the way those women talked about her, reminded me of the girls that would bully me in class and on the bus. Red flags, anyone?

My whole childhood passed thought my head. From the bullies to the family members body shaming me and teaching me how to dress. Goddamn. Massive red flags.

“Fair point sandy, having thousands of people judge every aspect of your appearance must be quite emotionally draining” *judges us through the camera *

Okay but the eyeliner with that colour turtleneck and the light blonde hair is an absolutely delightful colour scheme. And paired with her rosey skin tone? Amazing 🤩 This woman is beautiful and an absolute icon I’m obsessed 🤩
