I think you should go to a non fashion school and check out what people there are wearing. I feel like people assume that just because someone is studying… idk engineering or something, they’re gonna dress all boring and not at all fashionable. Definitely think you should go prove that wrong!

Please please go to Parsons and find out what they’re wearing. I bet they’re also dope af, I applied there two years ago and actually got in but was too poor to go! 😂😂 I would love to see how the students address style.

I wanna hear more about the retired military guy! He started with youtube tutorials and ended up in FIT? That is some interesting stuff! I also really want to see his accessories design since he talked about how military influence fashion (which is true btw) but to my understanding it mostly found in clothings and not accessories.

I think trends have the potential to open doors for people creatively but I get where the pink-haired person is coming from. if you're *only* following trends and not developing personal style you won't have a great base to build your style on

Why do they keep coming for SHEIN tho…not everyone is gonna have the same taste as you.☠️yes I feel like people should drop it but..
@miaandazola61482 жыл бұрын
Bc its so unethical. Its not necessarily about what style youre into but rather how the clothing is produced at shein and the negative environmental impact it leaves ! I hope thats what he was referring to when he said that aha

I find this superfluous anti-fast fashion speech very funny... clearly these people never left North America. The discussion is infinitely more complex than saying "fuck shein" and shopping in luxury thrift stores, I find it a little disappointing for college students to be so shallow in their thinking. Anyway, your channel is amazing (:
@TaylorSwiftGurl172 жыл бұрын
most fit kids don’t shop at luxury thrift stores. just normal thrift stores as opposed to shein

I mean if you live in a place where second hand clothing is available, it is absolutely more sustainable to purchase that than new clothing.

,@@splashofsparks I'm not saying that stores like shein are great and buying secondhand is bad. It just bothers me that the anti-fast fashion speech seems to be being repeated just because it's 'trendy'... Not to mention that sometimes it does not take into account things like the gentrification of thrift stores, the particularities of the retail market in each place, how easy it is to find pieces depending on your body shape, etc, etc. I don't think there is a one-size-fits-all solution.

These kids have lived their whole lives in a super depressing world. I'm in my 30's, and it was my dream to live in NYC and go to fashion school. That changed when smart phones came out and this world got so unaesthetic and people changed. People have to have an online presence and followers and they are so self absorbed that the actual craftsmanship of sartorial fashion has gone by the wayside. Maybe in France it's better, idk, but America has been going downhill since 1999.
