If charity is forced, if someone is bullied into giving charity, then it is no longer charity. That person you just shamed for not giving money, they might have been off to spend that money on their only rations until payday. They could be behind on rent. Hell, maybe that person being bullied into "giving" is not actually passionate about what the charity is for. When someone compliments you freely and you deny it or downplay it you’re being beyond rude. A compliment puts you in a social contract which you need to participate in. Saying “thank you” is your side of the deal. Saying anything less is rudeness and diminishes what they said, thereby putting them down. It doesn’t matter how you feel or how much trauma or awkwardness you feel, it’s easy enough to thank them. Whether you feel it or believe it or not. “Your hair looks lovely today” “Thank you” Then you can walk away. Simple, easy and your reputation remains intact. Do that enough times and it feels natural and you’ll get over whatever stuff you’re going through.

There was no reason to believe this was going to work...but somehow it did. Then? The craziest thing happened. People stopped cutting me off. They used to get in my lane and drive slow at least 90% of the time (I estimate) when they were up ahead turning onto the road that I was driving on, but now they don't do it at all. They just stopped doing it after that. Like it was all some big simulation and someone somewhere was watching my meltdowns and enjoying it, but then when I stopped it was like maybe they realized they had a good run, but they are too bored with it to keep doing it now. I'm actually a christian now, and wholeheartedly believe God was teaching me patience. I had to add that in! But oddly enough there was a Safeway out in Surprise, AZ by my step brother's house which he mentioned in passing that he believed was one big "human experiment" he called it. Something goes wrong at the register no matter what checkout lane you select, or something else will go wrong too. Every time you visit that store you can reliably expect patience testing delays. I didn't notice it as much as he did, but I'd always stop there for beer if I was coming to hang out with him, and sure as crap, after he mentioned that, I started to notice it too. Phoenix is weird, man 😅

I really can't stand people who pull out in front of you on the highway from an intersection, then drive about 45 MPH. Like dude, if you aren't in a hurry now why were you in such a big hurry that you couldn't wait for me to pass even though I had the right of way?

People who have one thing thats their entire personality. I just get so bored. Happens a lot with parents, veterans, car people, political people, and some fandoms. I wont be rude, but i will avoid conversation with you everytime you try to rope me into one of your war stories grandpa.

People that overtake me while driving for no reason. They don't speed ahead. There wasn't an exit or turn. There's usually a car in front of me. They aren't even road-raging. So why? What did you getting in front of me achieve?

When I'm at work and anwser the phone and the person ask "How are you?." Like I'm at work. It doesn't matter. If I'm not doing well there is nothing you can do about it. Just tell me the reason for your call.

I feel bad when a kid comes up to me and starts talking about Fortnite or Roblox or something like that I have no idea about. I kind of feel like how my parents felt with Pokemon. It used to drive me nuts when they would say Pokeman. God damn it mom, thats not correct. It's mon not man!!!! The other thing that is annoying is when people give a STANDING OVATION to a movie when it ends. What are you cheering about? Star Wars wasn't that great.
