We have a pretty amazing community in our school, and I just wanted to share the kind of people we're lucky to have. Just know we'd love to have you too, and I truly believe the resources could help you finish your game and release it to the world.

This is very inspiring! The first tree is what finally pushed me on game dev, but right now I'm on a very tight budget cause of university, otherwise I'd jump right in. Good luck to everyone enrolling!

hey bro, i want you to take that leap of faith, i’m in university too. you don’t have to spend any money to get started. trust me when i say that even if you spare at least 30 minutes a day to maybe look at a game dev tutorial and do something quick. that’ll go a long way. i believe in you man, you’ve got this!

@@iknowcharley5 Thank you for your advice ! I'm already working on my game dev career, having written the story for Dragon Acres and Born of the Solstice. Although I've not yet started my own project yet, i hope that I'll be able to get one done sometime in the future .

Very inspiring! Silly question but if I am learning c++ because I hope to use unreal engine would I still benefit from taking this course? There are other aspects I wish to learn from you about such as tips on art and marketing and less of unity and c#. Hope I get an answer! Thanks! Your very inspirational and I am half way to my goal of someday being on my own as well!!

$250 is a small investment for such a great product you receive. I'm actually surprised it's so cheap for the amount of information it gives. (This is with the 50% off he linked in the description)

@@YousefDana Well, it also could depend on where you lived. In some countries with low buying power that could be the whole of one month's salary. Or maybe for students, but I agree that is a small investment for anything tech-related course.

hey man, I think you're a great dude, and happy your game did well, but are you even working on a second game? It feels odd that you found a way to overhype a game by doing well with stock asset visuals, provide mediocre gameplay, get lucky and have the game sell really well via marketing, and then act like you're an expert on everything involving indie games, to the point you are comfortable selling a course for $250.

Especially considering the game was unpolished, clumsily written, and a canvas for all the things you SHOULD NOT DO in game design and user experience. I just played the game last week and feel so decieved by the marketing, and confused by David's level of confidence to release a $200+ course on game design and development. To David: I have SO MUCH respect for you as a fellow father who is working full time and pursuing dreams outside of work. Finishing something is so difficult! Clearly the game resonated with many people who could look past many of it's technical flaws, and that's great. It just wasn't for me and it is frustrating that I paid for a game I couldn't return.

I was thinking the same, he got very-lucky with his game. No offense, I wish him good luck and I am sure it was a hell of a struggle to getting the console ports done but now trying to sell a game development course sounds very amusing to me. by the way Thomas Brush is also another guy who got lucky, promoted and got some pseudo success and now trys to sell his game dev courses in every video. No offense, he is charismatic and entertaining but I simply dont buy what he sells.
