Corn can be bad for some people with arthritis. It triggers arthritis pain for me - just like gluten does. Once I stopped both, I no longer have arthritis-like pain. I also take boron 3 my daily, as some arthritis-like pain is simply a boron deficiency. Boron stopped my arthritis redness & pain in my fingers & stopped the disfigurement of my fingers. Only 1 finger was & remains deformed, no other fingers became deformed after starting boron. "What foods are not good for arthritis?Diets high in fat -red meat -avoid full-fat dairy ,Omega-6 polyunsaturated fatty acids, in excess, can worsen inflammation. Common sources of omega-6 fats are soybeans, corn, safflower, sunflower, canola oil, nuts & fatty meat, fried food & commercially canned food / sugar -Soda, fruit juices, sweet tea, and other sweetened drinks often contain a large amount of sugar. limit your total added sugar intake to 9 tsp per day. One advise: Don't quit cigarettes and sugar on the same time, one at a time 😂 it will crack you up mentally.
@virginiaseidita546 Жыл бұрын
Continued good luck, additional aids to quitting smoking That I learned from Cancer Society stop smoking class that were very helpful to me were: 1. put a small rubber band around ur wrist and snap it whenever u have a strong desire to smoke. 2, Look into the mirror perhaps while shaving or brushing teeth and stare straight into ur eyes and keep repeating, I don’t smoke, brain will recognize these words and believe them and ur desire will diminish greatly. Can use same technique for other things, like sugar. I stopped smoking 50 years ago. For 1 year I smoked 1 cigarette a day. Then I finally wasn’t near anyone that smoked for 3 days and I didn’t need that one cigarette anymore. I’m sending positive thoughts to you. 😊🙏😊

@yoface9079 Жыл бұрын
So true, I love it but it really messes with my teeth and gums! And I'm not just talking about the unpopped kernels... the little skins/shells of the popped kernels can slip between your teeth and even down into the gums and are difficult to remove and can cause infection. 😢 I miss popcorn but don't want scratched, irritated gums.

If anyones interested, here's the stove top method, which I think is the healthier way to prepare it... You can heat a heavyweight stainless pot or pan on med heat and add a little bit of olive or coconut oil. Add one kernel and cover the pan with a tight fitting lid. Wait till it pops then remove it from the pan and add the rest of the popcorn (the kernels should be only in a single layer and you should be able to see about 50% of the bottom of the pan. If you put more it may overflow, burn on the bottom and not pop all the kernels.) Cover the pan and slide it back and forth to keep the corn moving so it won't burn. When the popping noises start to slow down remove it from the heat and let the residual heat pop the rest of the corn. Add toppings while it's still hot. Yum! 😊
