Quick story. 🤗 My Dad, Mom and some others went to see Rick James. At that time, Prince opened for Rick. According to my father, Prince hadn't quite won over the mass appeal of man blacks. So, Prince wasn't enthusiastically welcomed. (Who the hell was this tiny, light skinned cat wearing bikini briefs, high heel boots and a grey trench coat?) Well, to make a long story short, Prince closed his set...walked off the stage and to my Dad's surprise, practically the entire venue/crowd was whistling, cheering and screaming for Prince!! He literally STOLE THE SHOW!! Rick walked out smoking a joint. No one cheering. Most of the crowd was actually leaving. Prince had worn out the crowd!! My Dad was drenched in sweat. "WOW!" That was all my Dad could say.

And as they were about to walk out of a club: he was putting the fur coat around her shoulders, saw Carmen and took the coat and wrapped it around Carmen and left! Carmen loved telling that story. He'd also make them wear a full face of makeup just in case he came over.

Ricks momma was a cougar in a major way. I remember this 🤡 Monty Harper who was between 7-10 years younger than Rick, was trying to extort her bye threatening to sell the intimate details of their relationship to several different magazines. I knew Monty personally we went to the same grammar School at the same time. After we became grown Men we had beef and the chump even had me locked up for bustin at his punkass one day. But anyway It got to the point where the magazines had a somewhat private bidding war over the rights to the sorted details of said story of Rick's mom and Monty. I was living in Buffalo at this time, and I remember one night we were in a club out by the airport, and Rick had his bodyguards jump the cat named Monty. Monty had them locked up too. You might be able to Google it when Rick James bodyguards jumped on Monty Harper at the club 2000, right outside of buffalo next to the airport. If I was Prince I probably wouldn't have gave that ol cougar my autograph either. What kind of mother does that type of schit especially in the same town where she raised her children at and knowing everyone in Buffalo knew Rick and his brother Head. As a matter of fact Rick's brother wound up shooting Monty's brother behind that same drama wit their momma too. That's crazy.
