I highly doubt that. This channel went on completely BS conspiracy theory. The US already had a Satanic Panic where allegedly thousands of children where being abused in Satanic rituals. It was the Satanic Panic of the 80's and 90's. After more than a decades e millions of dollars spen5t by the FBI nothing was proved. of course. about this moral panic I Suggest the book "We Believe the Children.' To pain him as this strange, on-human figure she makes bad use of the storytelling skills to pain VERY NORMAL thing as "weird". For instance. There's nothing wrong with the art. "A naked statue of an African warrior". And so what? Nude (which is different from naked in art) is a very common thing. Almost all Greek and Roman statues are nude or partially nude. Is it weird just because is an AFRICAN warrior? Same for the painting. Great part of the most venerated paintings in the world are of nude women. The book also means nothing in isolation. Was it just a book among others? It's a pretty famous book and ANYONE who is well read and would be rich enough to have a library at home would probably have a copy, as well as Nabukov's Lolita. It's being on his desk just means he was reading it. No big deal. And probably even the allegation that was on his desk is false. And the book is a criticism of the CHURCH by the way. He was jew. the temple LOOKS like a sinagoga, including the dome. and its painting in blue and white, the colors of the flag of Israel. A Sun clock is a pretty normal thing too. People like to do that because they see a heinous crime like abusing children and feel comfort in suppose they are a "different kind' of humans being, "not like' other human beings. Hence supposing he is TOTALLY weird in ALL aspects of his life, which is often not true for such cases. Same for insinuations of "satanism". All so not face the fact that "normal" people are capable of that But, sadly, "normal" people ARE capable of such evil. Let's not forget what Hannah Arendt wrote about the banality of evil. Most of people that actively worked for the Holocaust where "normal' people only thinking they were doing "their job'. They were good parents, good sons, loved animals, were well respected, helped others (as long as they where white). But they didn't see those people as humans. It' exactly the DEHUMANIZATION of the other that causes it.

Never would I have imagined Stephanie would talk about this. But I am so so so so glad she is. Not enough people do Edit: since people are having fun attacking me in the replies, I meant that I haven’t seen that many true crime KZbinrs talking about it. There are documentaries yes, but younger people, especially children, (the group of people who need to hear it the most) are more likely to listen to their fave KZbinrs podcast rather than watch a documentary on Netflix. Also, the mainstream KZbinrs who do talk about JE usually only talk about the flight records, and forget to mention all the important context behind JE: IE how he was convicted a whole decade before the news about the island, the fact he had been caught before but basically got away with it, etc. Most KZbinrs and documentaries I’ve seen all say “he really was a normal guy, what he did honestly came out of nowhere” no it didn’t. He had done this before, just nobody paid attention until the island was exposed. Also, even if it’s well known, STILL not enough people talk about it. It needs to be a conversation in EVERY home, so children can be aware of the dangers and red flags, and can protect themselves or at least be aware of who and what to avoid. I was genuine in my comment and everyone had to go make it negative. I’m not an idiot, I’ve seen people talk about it, but it STILL needs to be talked about more.

I remember when I had to give my statement to the police for being AS and they made it so uncomfortable for me to say what happened. They asked things like "are you sure?" Or like "that's it?" And it just made me not want to say anything. I was 15 and it's comforting to see that Stephanie hears the actual meaning behind the "vague" or "not so descriptive words".... because at the end of the day... IT IS ILLEGAL.
@Xessa8210 ай бұрын
I'm so sorry you were treated this way! You were so incredibly brave for going to the police. They really should all be taught the proper way to speak to survivors of SA and R in a sensitive and compassionate way. I understand that they can't just believe everything they're told but they can keep an open mind with out acting as if someone is lying to them. They also should never be minimizing what someone has been through. While something may seem like its not that serious to one person doesn't mean its the same for another. Regardless of what it is, its still something being done to someone that shouldn't be happening that they didn't want. Its still not okay. I was 16 when I was R worded by a man who was almost 30. I was to afraid to tell anyone mainly because of my friends. My best friend was there when it happened and didn't think it was a big deal and told our other friends we ended up with after. They all thought it was funny and laughed and joked about it. They acted like it was no big deal because there was alcohol involved but I had drank only a tiny little glass of alcohol not anywhere close to enough to make me pass out and not know what was happening. That's exactly what happened though so I'm fully convinced I was drugged. I barely remember anything. Just bits and pieces of what happened. I didn't tell anyone until I was 21 and was at a very bad point in my life. Due to not dealing with what happened I went down a very dark path of using substances to deal with my trauma. I'm 41 now and it still affects my life. I never thought it did but I realize it altered my whole adult life. I wish 16 yr old me had been stronger and had realized that real friends wouldn't have treated me that way. I wish I had told my family and could have done something about it. Maybe things would have turned out different. People just didn't tall about this stuff when I was younger like they do now. I think that would have made a difference as well.

To the brave soul who has endured unimaginable pain and suffering, I want you to know that you are not alone. Despite the darkness that has overshadowed your life, there is still light within you waiting to shine brightly once again. You are stronger than you realize, and your resilience in the face of such adversity is nothing short of remarkable. It's understandable to feel a whirlwind of emotions, including anger, sadness, and regret. But please know that none of what happened to you was your fault. You were a victim of a heinous crime, and the burden of guilt rests solely on the shoulders of those who committed it. It takes immense courage to confront the past and acknowledge the pain you've been carrying for so long. By expressing your feelings and reaching out for support, you're taking the first steps towards healing. You deserve to be heard, believed, and supported unconditionally. While it's natural to wonder "what if" and wish for a different outcome, it's essential to focus on the present moment and the strength you possess within you. You have the power to rewrite your story and shape your future into one filled with love, joy, and fulfillment. Surround yourself with people who uplift and empower you, and don't hesitate to seek professional help if needed. Your journey towards healing may not be easy, but remember that every step forward, no matter how small, is a victory in itself. Believe in yourself, dear survivor, for you are a beacon of hope and inspiration to others who may be walking a similar path. Your resilience is a testament to the incredible strength of the human spirit, and I have no doubt that you will emerge from this darkness stronger and more resilient than ever before. You are worthy of love, happiness, and a life free from the shackles of the past. Keep shining brightly, knowing that you are surrounded by love and support every step of the way. With unwavering admiration and solidarity

I have 5 daughters, the oldest is 16. I understand your worry. Just make sure she knows she can ALWAYS talk to you and you will always have her back 1000% If she knows that you're in her corner no matter WHO the bad guy is, she will feel safe enough to tell you and fight back. Growing up we weren't believed by others in our family, and especially the women would call us liars and make excuses for him or say that we need to not air our dirty laundry to other people. They blamed us for being "fast" and hated us for being victims. Be the exact opposite of that and your girl will be okay. Its scary but we can equip them with the "weapons" to fight back.

I worked on St. Thomas last year for a month and SCUBA dived off the coast of Jeffrey's island. (No discarded evidence or bodies found, btw.) ALL beaches are public in the US Virgin Islands and anyone can go onto the islands but cannot approach more than 10 feet from the trees. So the reason all of those Palm trees were brought in from Florida and put on the entire beach was to keep uninvited guests off the island.

Jeff may have been a sex predator but he definitely was not a murderer. Most of them girls lied about their ages and said they were 18.. that Virginia girl she ran away from home and went off with him and ghislaine willingly he never forced any of those girls to be there.. the girls that went to palm beach even said in the filthy rich doc that the friends they would bring with them said to lie and say your 18.. most of those girls were there willingly for the fancy lifestyle private jets and money and expensive dinners.. then when they realized they could make money off him they all came together to take him down just like now were seeing decades later women are accusing rich men of rape decades later. Sorry there should be a year of statue of limitations on rape. Thank god jesus is real and justice will be served for the ones lying for money to try and ruin a mans life

Genuine question because I hear this SO so much, and it just baffles me. But why are you so certain that the Bible is true, where these groups of people with so much power and access to all of human history and information in the world, will manage to turn a blind eye to an innevitable eternal suffering for their deeds? Don't you think that they would instead actually TURN to the Christian God with so much access to the "truth"? Not to mention how they dig deeper holes for themselves by actually using the bible for their own gains, and manipulating masses with it, and having popes and pastors who clearly are not truly christians? Besides all the theological issues with the bible, and the general contradictions within it ---- why do we not question why the people with so much truth and undoubtedly, so much more access and knowledge compared to us are simply doing everything against the bible and ensuring themselves to land in a spot of eternal torture? No one with any brains would do that given they know the bible is 100% infalliable truth.
