When he recycles old rusty metal I wonder how long his builds will last. I wonder by grinding off paint and rust how thin the metal ends up compared to using new sheet metal. How well does the sides match when it only shows one hand made side and yet has to make a mirror image? Are there projects that never get completed due to lack of interest? His wife does an amazing job filming his work and fun when she make more comments. I hope I can continue to watch as at 76 I have terminal cancer.

Ian and Jamie, you guys rock! Keep up the great work! I noticed that when Ian is listening to a client, his wheels are turning in his head and he’s taking in what the client wants and then he exceeds what the client wants. It’s like they look at him and exclaim that’s what I wanted. It’s so funny that they never knew what they wanted until he(Ian) pointed that out to them.

Ian is a 'fabricator', not a 'fornicator' as someone noted below. For all I know he may be both, but that has nothing to do with the job at hand. He is a top custom designer and finisher. I've watched a good number of episodes. This told us nothing. Like seeing the same film clips over and over and over, the narrator just said the same things over and over and over, sometimes changing the words a little, but saying the same thing... Not interesting in the least. In spite of this "Concealed secrets" thing, I'll still watch him.

Yeah, all the talk of "his team" and the collaboration are misplaced. Nobody flies as solo in the car fabrication world as Ian! Also, he is not exactly known for his creations made with 3D printing and CNC machine work. This AI-generated text is off the mark, as any real fan of Ian's work can attest.

I disagree with the narrator about him having a staff, or crew. I never see anyone but him , from start, to finish.( Except, when he needs a extra pair of hands, for mounting parts, pieces. The man, is a genius! And what I really like, is that he's totally unconventional. Why is he not on PBS, doing what he does best?

I dont know who wrote the script for this video, but they were way off base on most of his builds. I hardly ever saw these so called experts working with him. He had good friends from the custom car culture come by and work with him. Johnny Jaloppy was one that helped him a few times on great builds. He likes too work alone most of the time and his wife has been a great asset too his work. Now they are on You Tube the show is greater than the tv show.

I like the work and the way Ian does things, and the dude is an absolute horse. IAN = So what I'm going to do now is Mach up this trans into the frame rails, grabs the trans like a bowling ball and walks across shop with it. IAN = Well, looks like it's time to separate the body and frame, steps into removed floor pans and does a squat with head through sunroof and walks across the shop with it. Honestly, I just like the way that he allows it to just happens as he goes along in the build, and for sure has some out of the box ways in his designs.

I always looked at his work and his show as Ian just welding one piece of junk to another piece of junk and then grinding down the welds. At the end of the show somehow miraculously the car is finished all the little oddball details that were not addressed are suddenly addressed and finished. I just always assumed the real talent was not being shown on the show. All of the real talent was the guys and girls working behind the scenes to make it look easy.
