rennala was my favorite character i love how she wasnt even a demigod yet could contend and even beat them in battle before her loss and heartbreak, I do love how they show how debilitating betrayal & having ur heart broken can truly be

No wonder Ranni orchestrated the night of the black knives, she wanted revenge for what happened to her family! She was most likely very close to her mother as she was the only one to use lunar magic and such. And then everything about her mother was stripped away from her and was forced to go to leyndell where she likely didn't feel at home. She likely also hated Marika for straight up stealing her father from her mom. And then to make matters worse, she was forced to heed the words of grotesque creatures such as the two fingers... She had enough of it and took her revenge for her family and took out what was most dear to Marika first; Godwyn. "You destroyed my family, I'll destroy yours" kinda deal. I was always a firm believer that Marika was part of the night of the black knives, but I never saw the bigger picture, its evident that Marika likely wasn't part of it at all... and the shattering of the elden ring was really her going mad over her family's demise and especially Godwyn's horrible way of not dying a true death

Someone called the Shattering “Marika’s suicide” and I think it’s a perfect description

Marika is still her family technically

Perhaps it's not in From Soft's style, but if Elden Ring gets a sequel then it would be heartwarming for Rennala to regain her mind and former powers in the future.

Brilliant video. I absolutely love Rennala. It gladdens my heart that several content creators lately are pushing back against the idea that she was just a sad and pathetic woman, heartbroken over Radagon and so became worthless. There’s so much more to it than that. Rennala may be one of the wisest and most intelligent people in the lands between with tremendous power able to rival the gods and demigods of this world. Thanks for epic content!

great content yo, I really enjoyed the video. I was wondering about something I can't fully grasp about the debate parlour. If you go to lake of rot, there is an area as you enter the grand cloister to the right, across a rot waterfall, where one brazier is lit, next to an area filled with rot growth. If you change your map from that spot underground to above ground, its exactly where it looks like a lift used to be in debate parlour. you walk over the spot everytime you fight the red wolf of radagon, it has the same details on the cement as the main entrance lift and the lift to Rennala. And if you look at the ceiling of the lake of rot, there is a giant purple crystal that formed. But in debate parlour, you can see these purple crystals around the room, like they had a lift directly down to grand cloister to go get some purple crystals. But lake of rot is so messed up, like messing with that crystal unleashed something unintended on its original inhabitants. I think the wolf is guarding the lift from more greedy beings going down and hunting/taking everything. Lake of rot may have looked like the ancestral woods, and the wolf either cant live in its old home or just doesnt want more areas like its home destroyed. And this has been long i'm sorry, but it could have something to do with radagon leaving, the power behind moon magic(gravity) and what got debated about at the parlour. Like whether the higher ups will be sharing these crystals or keeping it to themselves, or using it for messed up experiments in the shadows like fusing people togather. It would also be interesting if that crystal had to do with the actual black moon, that there is only pieces of now in memory stones. Theres so much going on in that area, i think i could go on forever...

Great voice and editing. Ignore this if you have already, but you'd be great for armore core lore as well! I'll keep you on my radar either way. Great job!
