I know her personally and I have been her client on my own projects. She and Pilgrim Studios did not see eye to eye. She would provide about 6 weeks of work of the entirety of her shop for very little pay. They wouldn't even pay her for the electricity the studios would use. Her shop is quite busy and if you consider that she was basically spending her vacation time, while having to cover overhead and delay paying clients' work for the show, when the show told her that her measly per diem and the advertising she received on the show was enough pay, she had to pack up. If you know her she's directly involved in the work and keeps a tight ship. The shows would make drop everything in a minute and deliver to them. Many times they didn't even cover the materials.

I know that it’s a scripted show but in one of the episodes Richard has a “high end “ build to do and decides not to use Sue, he doesn’t even haggle over the price and , of course during the build in walks Sue with a job she has done on the cheap for Richard. Although Sue was still used for some builds as the builds became more “high end” the less we saw of Sue, until she was no longer part of the Gas Monkey set up, and started appearing in the spin off’s. Sues company never did bad work otherwise she would never have been able to expand the business the way she has done. I've seen this in many episodes the look on Dennis Collins' face. And by the way. Why is Richard selling of merchandise for people to win one of his custom car's. He's running out of money. ( my opinion) Look at the failed show of Fast & Loud. People stopped watching. What took me away from watching is Richards always constantly grooming his hair. That took the cake with me his arrogance. I watch Dennis Collins' Coffee Walk. Great show. I almost live by that show. So I say to Richard Rawlings. Straighten up your act. That was the production company all on its own. When Discovery came about and took control of the seasons past the original pilot season, cars were made with Discovery's budget, sponsors too. That version where Richard would risk his own cash, it's just not totally true. The cars were underwritten by the show, most of the people appearing in the show were paid by Discovery. Now that F&L is done for, I think even Christie Brimberry is out. Most of the on camera body work guys, painters, etc., all were paid by Discovery not GMG. @@edwardcricchio6106 you speak the truth there, bro! And I’m sure it extended to his “friends “ Aaron, Sue, Casey and all the other talented people that got him where he was. I think the only exception was Dennis, a rich, successful and seemingly nice fellow who helped and tolerated RR

@@markvincent5992 never in one episode did the guy so much as pick up a wrench or do anything to help with a build. All he did was throw insults at the workers and lowball someone who was trying to sell him a car. To me, he is not a nice guy.

@@edwardcricchio6106 thanks my friend! That’s exactly what I said. I hate bullies and people that take the credit for other’s work and abuse them in the process. I’m getting drunk texts and abuse from some guy named Ian who tried to tell what a philanthropist RR is giving VAST amounts of money to the working man!?! I replied show me and all I got was gibberish texts that apparently were meant to be insulting. Thanks for validating my position

I don't have any horse in the race but simply would catch the F n L/Gas Monkey shows once in awhile. I enjoyed Sue too. Always was impressed with anyone like her who can do upholstery as I know a nice ride is nothing if it does not have nice interiors to go with the outside and performance ends. All my best to you, Sue.

I wish the people who do these videos would do homework on the program. Everybody knows that Aaron was the only mechanic at the time and started the whole thing with Richard. Jason Acres came on during the middle of Richard's Heyday during a double Camaro convertible build, it's clear that Jason stepped on Aaron's toes and the show was going in a wrong direction. That's why Aaron left cuz he could see that it wasn't real anymore and they were building garbage. And Jason acres is dyslexic and not that great of a mechanic, from a personal standpoint

The show went downhill from the time that Aaron and Casey left!
@markvincent59923 жыл бұрын
@kevin barker I totally agree. Aaron deserved better. The show and the builds went sharply downhill after he left. In fact, it just kept accelerating with the departures of Sue and Casey among others. I’ve not seen RR’s new show and I probably won’t. From what I understand he’s not doing builds, just selling cars. I also have heard that he’s closed the garage and dismissed the remaining Monkeys. I’m not sure if that’s true or not, I really don’t care. But I’m sure he will have a hard time keeping up with the overhead of that huge facility if it’s true. What goes around, comes around. Ain’t karma a bitch?

Aaron was the real power of the show. Richard was the loud mascot at the game who got a participant trophy lol I do miss sue though. Love her attitude and she def does awesome work too! I do feel like maybe they don’t have as much business together due to both companies movie farther apart physically address wise when they both got new buildings and Richard moving more of the companies needs in house to reduce operating costs. It’s always cheaper to keep work in house vs farming it out and if he got someone decent (no one beats sue) it’s also another revenue stream as he gets to sell the customer the materials for a profit and buy them cheaper for himself too. This makes it seem like it wasn’t a personal falling out just as sue said they’d run their business relationship through and now both had moved in the direction they both wanted. They both wanted to grow bigger and they both did so win win ! :-)

In the various automotive shops every shop is it own kingdom, and personalities often clash between skilled workers and employers. There are sometimes premodanna Techs, and also power tripping, and short tempered Bosses as well. I'll leave it at that.

She's doing really really good. She still has her business. She redid the interior in my late Aunt's Chevy Nova. She redid it like it was factory. I was like shocked seeing it redone. She asked me if I like it. I said Sue u did an amazing job. I paid her really good. I asked if she ever seen crazy ass monkey and she busted out laughing and said hell no. She really did a great job on the seats and interior and doors. She was really shocked hearing that the car belonged to my late Aunt.

i think the reason for the fallout is richard is the kind of person to use people for a CHEAP PRICE, leave it at that?, in a commerical business a couple of jobs for cheap then its back to regular price or custom work. when erin came by instead of richard he treated her with respect where as richard did not. THIS IS RICHARD ;S MISTAKE, HE USES PEOPLE AND THE WANT TO CONTINUE TO USE THEM FOR HIS PROFIT. same went for his bar/dance hall, and many friends that started with him. hell i met richard some 3 yrs ago at lax and help him get to a meeting in san diego,ca because he had no ride, then when it came for him to help me he shit on me and said, thank you but no thank you, i needed a new motor and i was willing to pay for it, but he said NO.
