Pretty flower Connie. You could punch the heart out in green & put them around the flower with the pointed end out. Also I have had the problem with paper being too short for the punch. So I cut my paper into strips the minimum height for the punch design. Then I can punch each heart upside down from the last one punching from either side of the paper strip. This works with any design that is larger on one end than the other. A bell for example or a tulip blossom. I like using punches because you can cut out a bunch of shapes very quickly for multiple cards.

Hi Connie. So good 2 c u. Thank u 4 this cute hack. More bang 4 your buck as u say. Does it matter on the size of the hearts that r die cut or punched? I don't have a heart punch from stampin up, but I do have heart punches.

Amy, it will matter. I would make sure that the heart is no more than 2 1/4" at the widest part.

Great idea! How do you hang onto the paper when you cut the 1/4" strip? I always have trouble when I'm trimming from a small scrap.

If you have trouble with the 1/4" cut you can put a post it note on your strip of paper sticky part on the paper. Then you can hold the paper by the post it note while you cut.
