What’s Behind the Soaring Tourism Prices in Croatia?

Since joining the Schengen area and Eurozone in January, Croatia has enjoyed a record tourist season. By the start of August, it had more than 11.5 million arrivals, which is 10 percent more than the same period last year. Croatia's tourism minister says the arrivals are nearing the record-breaking levels of 2019. But while some officials expect this positive trend to continue for the rest of the year, many aren't quite optimistic due to rising prices in the Balkan country. International media reports on the sudden price hikes across the stunning Adriatic coast, have already convinced many travellers to cancel their reservations. Veyko Skenderija went to Zagreb to see if the fear is justified.

It's more than double since the new year. FK studenac (in particular) and shops. They took change to euro as a perfect time to scam and steal from local and tourists.

That's bs, the prices are higher everywhere, two or three times in general does not stand. You talk like croatua was some cheap destination before, which is not the truth, if you comoare it with greece, croatia was always more expensive and on ballance or bit cheaper than italy, but not by much. It all depends on costs that participate in prices like fuel, electric energy, air fares, taxes and so on. Prices today also wary by the factor of 2 or three, depends o location, time period and type of accomodation and food choice.

Very nice! Its a much better country for vacation than greece or turkey, its on a higher level, way more safe, clean, friendly people and so on. Nothing but ++ for Croatia. Turkish gangsters/junkies or greek/gangsters/junkies are a real problem, also they need to clean their own streets.
