My husband was a narcissist and when he was diagnosed with cancer it was my fault along with his life being miserable. Even though I stood by his side dealt with basically everything him kids house his parents my full time job with benefits he went around with his friends and claimed it was all my fault and before he died he convinced people I was killing him. He was told he had signs of it but was missed years before I meet him. So when he passed away his friends and his family turned against me and our kids. They claimed I murdered him when he was life flighted to ICU and stayed alive for over a week. I was by his side all that time. Never left his room. And even though the medical team tried everything to help him his lungs were full of scar tissue and he couldn’t survive off the oxygen or even be moved from the room. Yet all of this was my fault and was treated along with my children as murders. And at the end of his life he kept the guilt and shame trip on me when he didn’t think anyone could over hear. He also wanted to make sure I had nothing and had to fight to keep a roof over our heads. He even gave most of the money away. He basically left nothing for our kids or myself. All I have to say if you are in a relationship with a narcissist GET OUT! Nothing changes you can’t make the relationship work no matter what you do. Don’t try. And it isn’t your fault that they can’t love or feel for anyone. It’s been many years since his passing and I still won’t get into a relationship with anyone. Healing from the mental and emotional abuse takes so many years. So before you spend too many years with one get OUT.

Nobody ever comments on the fact that the 'Straight Outta Compton' article was written by Ruth Styles, senior reporter at the US Los Angeles office of the Daily Mail, and was published in the US at the same time (Nov 2016). HG I am so pleased you’ve been able to explain quite simply what is happening with regards to MM in such a simple and honest way with regards to the media. I am one of those who checks in once a week to see what she is up to. There are always going to be unkind people who watch her rise and fall and clap their hands with glee, but there are many of us out here who simply watch in astonishment and wonder when it’s going to end. She has shown no signs so far of an ability to recover her situation. Perhaps being on the show Suits was her Peter Principle where she had arrived at the best she could do, and when she tried to reach higher, she didn’t have the talent or wellbeing to do better. You might call Harry her success in reaching the Peter principle that she has not been able to maintain that success. She put on a bizarre wedding and I had no awareness of how important it was to fit in and no awareness of the bird she had in her hand which could’ve helped her go a long way. The position as Harry’s wife could have been a start to great things. Instead, she is mentally unwell and we are watching it play out with your help and explanations. We are, many of us, in awe. I guess it is the nature of narcissists to be out there in our faces wanting to be seen and since MM put herself out there as a royal wife, the show has been spectacular and we are just waiting for it to end.
