One of the most soothing and persuasive cover of Marvin's two great songs. I have this album in vinyl only, and will keep it with my turntable, hoping my 6 years old son would appreciate it. There are some 2000 such vinyls, but this one is special.

That's Jim Rothermel on sax. He takes it from soft vocal back round fills to a screaming Cadillac driving centerpiece solo and then back to a soft backing of the vocals. Last I heard he's still living and playing in the San Francisco area. The whole album is full of his beautiful work on flute , sax and clarinet.

Are you nuts or are you one???
@tenmiltenmil1770 Жыл бұрын
@@MaxYordan Monday September 18th 2023 2:13pm . Marvin Gaye was a black man who wrote loves songs ! He was magnificent ! Yet he was torn between of the violations on the black peoples civil rights in the 1960s ! It wasn’t until 1971 that he could finally bring this chaos into a song be and allowed to have the album sold ! Marvin Gaye sang this song with his entire heart and soul ! His vocals were amazing ! Now you take this white man wannabe Marvin Gaye and he is tone deaf ! He sounds like a sheep ! There is no feeling in his voice of suffering havoc chaos destruction and sadness ! This man couldn’t understand what Marvin Gaye felt when he wrote this song and that’s why he sounds so horrible singing it ! Why couldn’t this white man come up with his OWN songs ? Why copy someone else’s song ? When you listen to MG it brings tears to your eyes and you understand the pain and suffering of those years ! When this guy sings this song , it only brings pain to the EARS ! He’s tone deaf ! You are too ! Millions of people are tone deaf ! That’s why so many nasty tasteless rap songs have been created and sold ! One of the worst things on this planet is using someone’s else’s song and completely destroying it ! I’m sure Simon Cowell would agree with me ! PEACE ☮️
