@commonsense5105Ай бұрын
It's a simple concept known as the Golden Rule, treat others as you would want to be treated. In many businesses today the work relationship between employer and employee has shifted to a one way relationship instead of the mutual relationship it once was. You get out of it what you put into it. Dave sees his employees as assets, not liabilities. As a result they will give their best which leads to his successful business. Way to go Dave!

I discovered this channel whilst viewing shorts. Being an engineer and coming from an engineering family it is so refreshing to see professional engineers, technicians and machinists doing such great work. Most American channel I’ve watched just talk for the first ten minutes about nothing or how great they are. This show is the business, real dedicated people doing the work correctly and checking their work after final assembly. An absolute fountain of knowledge can be witnessed and it is a joy to watch. Also the mutual respect between Dave and all the people who work at the business is impressive. Being from the UK we don’t give out praise lightly. Thanks for such an entertaining and enlightening program. Carry on the great work.

I don’t comment on KZbin but I just want to say this: I have watched this channel for some time now and I have used Dave’s “C’s” for work. I’ve been an A&P Mechanic for almost 9 years from Fixed Wing to Rotary ACFT, Military to civilian contracts. As cheesy as it sounds I’ve wanted to double up and become a Marine Mechanic and and now enrolled in night classes to do just that. I love the integrity of the company you’ve build over many years and the passion of it. I respect that because mechanic industry can be extremely toxic. Just wanted to say thank you for your honesty and professionalism.

As an A&P maybe you can help with something I've been pondering. Dave says never let your diesel EGT's get over 1350 degrees F because you can melt a piston warp a valve or head or whatever, and i believe him because i installed an EGT gauge in my 6.6 lly and the hottest it gets is 1300-1350. But i fly a turbo 210 that runs at 1450 EGT all day long and thats what continental recommends. whats up with the difference in temps?

Dave, we were looking at a 2011 Volvo XC 60 T6 with 141K miles. The exterior was a 9/10. Zero rock chips on the front end which amazed me. In an aerospace repair station, they can perform maintenance to 3 levels: Repair, overhaul, and rebuild. Repair is the minimum to make the thing airworthy again. Overhaul is teardown, clean, inspect, repair/replace, reassemble, and test. Rebuild is an overhaul but to OEM print specifications, which is significantly more expensive because the prints are very specific of what each part is.

I wont ever forget Dave.... Not only for the way he recognizes his workers and technicians fixing engines at his shop. As well as office workers running around doing burger runs for the shop workers. This is a solid man running a very successful business. I wont be able to bring my Diesel vehicle there, but would definitely ship an engine on a crate to him for fixing in the future. My state don't care about EPA, but the state of Utah does. That would be a way I would do business with him respectfully, due to emission laws per state, when my engine needs an overhaul done after X amount of miles.
